Sweet, I've updated my server. My players love this, glad to see this still working on the latest releases. The personal support I always get is an example for other developers!

PyroFishing is one of the best plugins out there for custom fishing, it doesn't try to do anything super fancy like with InfiniteFishing and their custom resourcepack fishing crap, it sticks to its roots as a vanilla-esk minecraft fishihg plugin (with support for custom textures for fish)

There is enough customisation for 95% of things within PyroFishing ranging from Fish prices, entropy per fish and crafting recipes for augments. All which are super good to tail the plugin to your own needs.

In the majority of cases Pyro is up for suggestions for his plugin(s), many times I've asked for minor changes and/or small bug fixes and he has given me a .jar file containing those fixes/suggestions within a day or two and the same goes for PyroFarming.

From time to time I make small errors with configurations and Pyro is there within a few hours responding with how to fix whatever my mess up is.

With PyroFishing as a plugin, it's only going to get better and better with more and more future updates which I've super excited for. I've used this plugin for years and not once have I regretted using it. (also PyroMining v5 when!!!)

Just bought this plugin, thought it was a great addition to my server. The plugin owner was great at helping me set it up and provided good feedback for all my questions. My and my friends have been having lots of fun playing with the features, cannot wait to see what comes next :D

Mind you, this was after $500 USD was given. He didn't commit to timelines, he didn't deliver nearly any of the features/fixes promised. He let personal matters with some of my ex-staff interfere with his judgement and compromise his integrity as a developer. The build I received was incomplete and effectively useless. Although this is for pyrofishing, this really explains the developers tendencies, behavior and the way they act.

When it comes to support, changes, or even asking about the API, good luck. The dev is incredibly difficult to work with, dismissive, and seemingly only motivated by money (even then, if he simply just doesn't like you or your ideas, he basically tells you to F off). Requests for documentation or help are met with ego, not solutions.

If you're looking for a plugin that respects long-term server devs and provides any real flexibility or API support.... this isn't it. The plugin works great, and is a nice feature.. but the person behind it makes any support a chore that it shouldn't be.

SInce the author thinks calling me toxic, and making fake claims that I have "threatened" people in his discord. Here is the last conversations I've had with him. Probably didn't know I use vencord, as he tried to delete it all. He's nothing but a whiney scammer who didn't get his way and will do anything to protect his image. He says I could've asked for support, but I was banned from his discord without reason after explaining to other server owners that he was a nothing short of a scam.

Be so real... you're just trying to boost your case and it isn't going to work. You banned me from your discord after I shouted you out in the owners lounge as a scam. You got salty. Own it. This review is staying, I'm not updating it anymore. You can say whatever you'd like. You simply can't handle the plain hard truth that you ran off with my money, especially after being incredibly toxic to my staff and players. Then; when someone gave the same energy to you, you whined cried and crashed out and left. Oh well. I hope this review helps some of you and makes you think twice about purchasing. The plugin is primarily designed as a plug-and-play solution, though I was hoping for more flexibility. Making changes to the default configuration often requires developer approval, as modifications risk breaking functionality. Even after spending 5+ hours trying to configure it, I found the plugin difficult to understand.

I had a specific idea in mind and hoped this plugin would accommodate it, but unfortunately it doesn't. Having worked with thousands of plugins, I feel this one lacks adaptability—it's designed to work in a specific way rather than being customizable. In my opinion, the user experience could be improved for both players and server owners.

The developer is clearly passionate and cares about users, so if you're seeking a straightforward plug-and-play plugin, this plugin is perfect. It wasn't right for my needs, but I'm glad I could support the developer with my purchase! :)

The literal best out of the box fishing revamp. Personally, I'd recommend configuring the pricing a bit but it works excellently right out of the gate and it's probably one of the best, if not THE best, fishing plugins on the market right now.

I've been using this plugin for years, and I've noticed a lot of problems. The specific operation of augments, delivery, and totem skills was not clear, so we had to find out by asking to author,

In recent patches, he adjusted the skill value that cannot be modified, causing many complaints to players using the server.
(You will have to wait for an unprompted patch for this.)

Recently, there has been an issue where fish in fish bag is duped, so for over a month,
so i provided to author with debug logs, multiple reproduction recording videos, and server logs, but I have concluded that the answer is busy, it's your server problem.
I can't stand this irresponsible attitude anymore, so I write it so that there won't be any other victims. Please reconsider your purchase.

Is totem only for the owner of it? And i keep catching 2 fishes (1 vanilla and 1 custom)

Pyro's plugins are one of the best plugins that you can find out there! I will totally recommend his plugins depending on your server's need. It is as well optimized plugins that doesn't make your server lag. Its customizable, convenient and easy to understand plugins. PyroFishing, Farming and Mining are the best server combos. Looking forward to more future updates Pyro. He's very active and responsive also on his discord!

Improve Anti AFK fishing (using autoclickers or hacked clients as Wurst) and there will be 5 stars.

Now I have to use another plugin to prevent this, but it would be a great upgrade for this pluing.

Best plugin ever.... the amount of stuff this can potentially add is insane! You can customize about everything and it's awesome. I do wish there were youtube tutorials on how to add fish, and make more bait. Only downside is not knowing how to do everything to customize it. The amount of customization is alot though and most of it is copy paste / straight forward. Awesome plugin please add more stuff and keep updating this. It has made my server process 10000% better!

Giving support to this plugin, and trying to even out the nasty 1-star review from a disgruntled server owner. This plugin has served myself, and the community very well over the past 6 years. Holy cow I can not believe it has been that long. The DEV has helped me with issues when needed, and can not believe it is still being maintained and updated. Cheers, I know support for these plugins will end eventually, but props to Pyro for providing an amazing experience.

The plugin in general is good, even very good. There aren't many plugins of this type, so it has the monopoly.

I'd give it one star for plugin management: you're dependent on the creator if you have an error, you're given a code that only the devs know what to do if the dev isn't available or isn't there one day for several months, your product is no longer functional.

A server is made to understand alone manage errors plugins with each other

I put a star and they threatened me either to withdraw my review and help me or not to help me. This is called blackmail and as I have a coded message the product I bought is unusable.

Reviewing my support tickets from the last couple of years and DM msgs, and personal support on my own discord: Everything got a reply within a timely manner and have received more than a yes/no reply with proper explanations. Nonsense reviews like tex08 below are just people who act entitled and didn't bother reading a wiki page or file a proper support ticket and start holding devs hostage with a 1 star review to get attention to their problem. Utter nonsense. I've had nothing but positive experiences with pyro about his plugins when it comes to support.

The plugin is so bad that the developers are obliged to remove the error codes so that you understand nothing and you ask for help no voluntary answers after several days (voluntary) do not give your money to people like that make them die in their own shit

The plugin works "well"

The langs and configs are a bit archaic, but my main problem is that you can't translate the augments (it doesn't say anywhere on the spigot page that you can't).

My server is Spanish, so it is VERY IMPORTANT that something as important as augments can be translated.

More than 6 months ago I complained about this on their discord server but today they still say that "Maybe in a few months they will do it".

This is my first negative review on spigot and I've bought dozens of plugins, anyway.

Pyro plugins are still gems on the market, they work as intended. It's a nice touch for your server.

Top tier fishing plugin. I added new custom fish with custom textures, and it really revitalized minecraft fishing. Dev is also extremely responsive and really solid at communicating on his discord. This is most likely the best fishing plugin you can get.

If you are looking for total overhaul of fishing system then this plugin is for you. It adds so many options that, after properly setting them up, you will surely find your players spending good amount of time fishing. Totally recommend it :)

After several updates, this plugin does not cease to amaze me along with the others and the newest ones I always wait for a pyro ping on his discord warning upgrade or when you talk to him he is a good character and the most sympathetic of all. soporte 10/10 , plugin 3000/10 unique plugin of its kind.

Pyro should be proud to create this, and have it mostly complete for the little time he has. I understand, that Pyro has limited time. I mean, we all have limited time. I'm impressed by the project he has created without much help.

However, this plugin just wasn't for me. And I wish there were config files pasted on the resource page, including being more specific towards the features it currently has.

What didn't I like you ask? Well, I'm nit picky. But the requested features I asked for, he told me were already planned. So, I say, fair enough. I understand time is an issue. Which is why I'm not rating it lower than 4 stars for what it already is.

When I first opened the main fishing menu, I came across a "Skill Points" option, but couldn't click it, and had the description of "Coming Soon!". This was disappointing to me already, although it's current features were well made to satisfy others.

Next, I realize you cannot create as many fishing tiers as you might like. This was also disappointing to me, considering all the other much older fishing plugins had this.

Also, I didn't like how most of the plugin was based around money, and not items. Which didn't fit with my servers style, of using items and such for trading, or value, rather than having a made-up currency.

Lastly, I don't really feel like Pyro will keep-up with his plugin as much as he'd like. Which isn't part of my thought into the review, just pointing out that he has a life, so yes, he needs time to work more on his plugin.

In no way Pyro, am I saying that your plugin is bad, or yourself. I came out wrong, and only confused you more. Yes, I have requested the features I wanted, and you gave me a Trello page, or an alternative similar website. It's just your plugin isn't what I was looking for myself.

Now, what does Pyro do best in his plugin?

The fact you can catch custom model fish, is pretty cool. And is becoming a much more popular thing in plugins.

The ability to create commands during eating and catching certain fish, and having a command for each menu, gives you more flexibility to fondle with this plugin, to make it your own, or implement it into your own systems.

Gutting & Scales, is a really neat and well-thought system for money, and extra abilities towards catching fish.

Recently the developer has been telling us he's been busy and otherwise occupied, it's terrible! .. Because he keeps pumping out updates and releases for all his plugins. I don't want to know what happens when he has free time. Don't forget to rest! Thank you for all the support and continued updates of bug fixes and personalized help. A nice example for a lot of developers on this site. Enjoying this on Spigot 1.16.5 and Tuinity 1.16.5 servers. Together with CMI and mcMMO / Jobs and other great plugins that make fishing a fun experience for players and this increases player retention by hours and hours. 5 stars well deserved.

Our players love this, we're using it on 1moreblock.com with paper 1.16.5 and we have tournaments, 100+ custom fish, unique commands, and it works great in combination with CMI features and mcMMO. Pyro's support has been top notch the last couple years. I am excited to use this in 1.17 and beyond.

I've been holding off on writing this review simply because I don't necessarily like people hunting down which plugins I use, however this plugin deserve the recognition, not only due to the active and friendly developer behind it, but because of how much content it holds.

My very first message to Pyro was on May/20/2020. The most recent message was 2/19/2021. Throughout these months Pyro has been an absolutely amazing individual. Regardless of the parroted question directed towards him, he is always calm, composed and always willing to help.

Anywho, back to the plugin itself. The amount of features, let alone customizability is beyond what any plugin has to offer on the market. PyroFishingPro is a plugin that completely transforms and improves the boring Minecraft fishing system.

Will your players enjoy it? Absolutely, yes they will! They'll spend countless days wanting to achieve the ultimate fishing rod, with there journey to that goal being entertaining because of the Special Delivery system the plugin offers. Of course there are countless other features which I would suggest seeing for yourself because you will truly be amazed.

This plugin is hands down the most fun my players have had on my server! It does everything and is extremely configurable. The Dev is very active, answers questions promply and and even added a request I had for the plugin quickly! Totally worth purchasing!!

Look Pyro. FishingPro just doesn't feel polished or refined as much. You cannot create infinite tiers of your own, you cannot modify the entropy gain on each individual fish, and you can't gut fish for custom items. There are a lot more that I expect to be in this plugin for a paid plugin, compared to some of the free ones, and your work feels messy. I can't say this any other way, because no matter what I say, you take offense to it.

The main point, why I'm rating this 3 stars, is because it doesn't fit my needs. And I know, you wouldn't go out of your way to implement every little thing of mine since that's going to be stressful. I also think it lacks such features from major free fishing plugins.

Pros:
- Great for servers who don't want to customize every tiny little detail (I mean EVERY, tiny, little detail which may seem like everything is customizable. But I can come up with SO much that isn't customizable)
- Servers who just love fishing and crabbing with skills
- Have your own custom fish which is pretty darn cool

Cons:
- Lacks some major features compared to free fishing plugins (Custom command on specific fish grab, fishing mini-game, having infinite fishing tiers, etc.)
- To ME, it seems... The GUI is a little messy/disorganized, the plugin feels incomplete with a "Soon to be here feature" in the fishing menu, etc.

Those two cons, are the two stars I've removed. Pyro, you can't say I didn't contact you and refuse to, because I did a few times now.

Pyro, you don't think this is fair. You don't seem to understand what I'm saying and you ignore what I say, or cannot see it.

If you can actually attempt to add what I speak of, It'd be very applauding worthy, and in my opinion, a gold medal even. But, I doubt you would, and/or you would hurt yourself trying to do so. Take it slow if you really want to attempt this, and all will be good. Because people who are reading this, you should buy his plugin if you like custom fishing. It just needs a little extra squeaky shine for power users.

Awesome support, personally helped me understand the plugin fully, the amount of features on it is insane, extremely customizable! a bit of a headache to get into due to all the features but its 100% worth it, once you understand how it works configuring it is a lot easier! My players love the plugin and the features it brings to the table! <3

The amount of customization and options is astounding. If want a plugin designed specifically around your parameters, that's what custom plugins are for. If you want a plugin that has a massive amount of options and fits 90% of your wants, then look no further.

Be creative and adapt to what's available or hire someone to make something in your own imagine. Don't come to spigot market place expecting to have your every desire filled because you'll be disappointed.

Pyro is an amazing developer. He has exemplary customer service for all of his plugins. Extremely fast at getting to ticketed issues if you ever have any kind of issue or questions. Very personable.

I have known him for about 3 years now and he never ceases to stop creating great things. PyroFishingPro is one of those great things. I have 3 of his plugins at the moment. My server players love them. They are always the first ones that I update because of how addicting they are within our gaming community.

It allows for customization and depending on how you configure everything, your players can make some serious strides in their rankups in game, as well as, their skills within the plugin. You can also customize the fish names, etc. (My son loves this because on one of my private servers, there are fish named after some of his favorite things and we have put funny background info with them.)

Again, great plugin created by a great developer who does NOT quit at what he is good at. He genuinely loves what he does and cares about those that purchase his plugins and even the players who utilize them. He definitely stands behind what he creates and makes sure that it is 100% what it should be. Then goes above and beyond to deliver even more great additions because he is highly driven. You simply cannot ask for anything better. Love your plugins Pyro! Thank you for always being there and going that extra mile. Much love, bud!

We run PyroFishingPro and PyroMiningPro on our server and we absolutely love it! We never tried the free versions since we knew this plugin from roughly 4 years ago.

Pyro is different - he cares.
I joined his discord the other night to use the search function on some minor issue but didn't want to bother him so I just decided I would wait til my daily reboot and see if that does it. Pyro actually messaged me, asking if I needed anything. What kind of dev does that?
We sorted the issue I had within minutes. Fast, efficient and unexpected, haha.

That being said, I apsolutely recommend Pyros plugins, especially if you don't want to be left waiting for weeks on bug fixes after making a git report.
His plugins are very fun, really they are. Sure, configs are kinda confusing at first haha, but it's not that hard to get the hang of it.
We are grinding them to death and my players are very happy with the extra income source, and oh, the excitement of catching a super rare fish. Can't beat that.

This is a fantastically fun, and incredibly customizeable resource for any kind of server or community. The plugin developer is very responsive and capable, going out of their way to promptly assist with any troubleshooting you may need.

Pyro has the best resources for some fun and well designed plugins, fishing being my personal favourite out of them all. I first found the fishing plugin on a popular server I used to play on a lot, and I absolutely fell in love with it, creating the server a heavily detailed and set out guide to help others learn to love the plugin as I did. This brought me to purchasing it, upon purchasing it I got to know the developer, Pyro, and how awesome and supportive he truly is. The plugin will be an awesome addition for anyone wanting to add more to the fishing experience in the game, it even works well alongside McMMO

Pyro works on his own to get everything done and I feel that brings a heavy burden and responsibility for him, the support he gets from us as users and purchasers of his plugins help him enjoy what he's doing more and he's able to still have fun with us on his discord while creating updates for these plugins.

Pyro is great at making in-depth plugins and taking user suggestions and implementing them. I've consistantly been impressed at their openness to new concepts and things that can benefit the playerbase.

So I typically do not write reviews for plugins (or anything really), but I think there are some things about this plugin that people should definitely know before purchasing. I'll break down my thoughts into a few sections. I have only recently purchased this plugin but have worked extensively with it in preparing a server release.

Core Functionality: General usage of this plugin really does work extremely well. It provides a brand new twist on the currently bland Fishing aspect of Minecraft. There are a LOT of already made custom fish, and this plugin could really be used right out of the box as is, if you are someone who does not love adjusting settings. I have no complaints about the fishing experience that is provided to players with this plugin.

Support: In my experience, support for this plugin has been adequate. I had a few pre-purchase questions that were answered quickly, and one bug that was immediately fixed in the latest update. This is a net positive as well, and I appreciate support in any scenario since developers are not really "required" to support their products at all. The developer does seem to care about their products as well, which is great.

Customization: In the plugin's current state, customization is what frustrates me the most about this plugin. There are a LOT of things that you can currently customize, and these customization features, work very well. However, there are some things which currently lack customization or toggles, and they make this plugin frustrating to use in some scenarios. I will provide some examples that I am currently dealing with.

- The GUIs and menus for this plugin are not very customizable. Changing GUI titles and changing item lores are the only real customization options available here. You really should be able to change locations and materials of the GUI buttons, or create more command equivalents of functions within the plugin so that people could make their own menus if they wanted using an external GUI plugin like DeluxeMenus or BSP. There are obviously some scenarios in which this would be unreasonable, like the Augment GUI where items are combined.. However some more freedom should be allocated here if possible. There are also unimplemented features that been left in the GUI, and cannot be taken out, such as the Totem and the Fishing Market.

- Mythical Fish. I am not sure exactly why it is like this, but you can customize every aspect of 99% of fish, except for the Mythical Fish. These appear to be not very customizable as well, since there are no configuration options available for these fish currently. The chance of a Mythical Fish is locked at 1/2700. For some servers, this value probably will make little sense. Mythical Fish really need to have customization options available to them, to match the other tiers of fish. I believe this is being partially addressed in a future update of the plugin, which I am glad to hear.

- Deliveries. The new Deliveries system is very average. It cannot be toggled, and the rewards are hardcoded. I also believe the fish requirements for a delivery are not configurable either. The most that you can do to disable the deliveries system is simply restrict access to the GUI. This does not fully solve the problem by any stretch, since people still earn the deliveries from catching 200 fish. The upgrading aspect of it is fun, but I'd rather just use my own questing system exclusively so that I can customize the rewards. What is worse is that the Deliveries reward issue is never going to be addressed according to the developer for the following reason: "Rewards are hard coded due to multiple server owners not configuring them and me getting complaints from players saying that deliveries were useless" (quote taken from the support discord when another user asked). I personally do not see this to be a valid excuse, since a link to the support discord (where server owners reach Pyro), and the plugin link itself are left in the main GUI by default. The developer is inherently opening themselves up to misdirected criticism from random players of various servers by providing these links so blatantly to non-server owners. It is also apparent that players should really be complaining to server owners if rewards for something are bad, and this is not a reason to exclude a feature from a plugin. Sincerely, I hope that a toggle for the Deliveries system is added, alongside a way to remove the item from the GUI if the feature is disabled.

- Entropy Crystals. This is a bit of a niche issue, but the Entropy Crystals cannot be disabled. It is possible that server owners may not want users to have physical versions of currency for any number of reasons, and can create issues if duplication glitches or other bugs are present in a server (though this is true for any physical item of value, not just the Entropy Crystals). I've personally gotten around this by penalizing players who use Entropy Crystals, but not everyone has that option.

Conclusion: Despite my own issues with the customization of this plugin, I do strongly recommend it to anyone who is looking to spice up fishing on their server. There aren't any real alternatives out there, and it adds a dimension to the game that people really do seem to enjoy. It was well worth the purchase and I am excited to see what happens with this plugin in the future. It would be a 5/5 overall, but the lack of customization in some areas, and the developer's unwillingness to add customizable rewards to the Deliveries system, makes it a 4/5 overall for me personally.

Great fishing plugin that works perfectly and comes with tons of fish out of the box. Most things can be customized to fit your needs and the dev is friendly and responsive. Would definitely recommend. A+

One of the best plugin's I have on my server. My players love it, it's very interesting and unique. There are also almost no bugs with it. It has been running smoothly since I got it and I have been using it for almost a year now. Definitely recommend this one.

Fantastic plugin! This will bring your playerbase alive and will add another way to make money *if youre an economy server*. This should be in every server possible, its got so many fish, loads of custom enchantments for your rod *augments*, fish bags, a whole codex showing the fix you can get. Super detailed. GUI is lovely and neat. Just get it.

I have loved this plugin. It gives fishing some much needed attention. Giving players a reason to fish. Plus, the dev is super helpful, Pyro is highly active on the discord. If you have any issues, they are willing to help.

Astounding fishing plugin. And "astounding" is not a word I use very often for most premium plugins. Works with mcMMO which is what I needed. The GUI is pleasant and intuitive.

PyroFishing - maybe the only way of making minecraft fishing enjoyable. And if not the only way, then the best way. Money well spent on it, I love it <3

One of the best fishing plugins on the market. My players love it, adds a lot of atmosphere to fishing which is great. I would recommend this to any RPG/Survival server.

Love the plugin but I'm having a bit of an issue. Whenever I reel in I am given a vanilla fish and the custom fish so 2 fish total.

My players like fishing and since the plugin is on the server they put a lot of time into it. I was able to increase the average online time with the plugin!

I would, personally, rather have more permission nodes or config options to disable some or all additional features, such as accessing the menus, drops from mobs, and so on, as not every feature is really ideal for every server, and it'd be nice to be able to configure it to our liking in that regard.

The author does say this should hopefully be coming in the next big update, however, so I look forward to adding a star back, then.

AMAZING! Well deserving of the premium status, and my 100% rating doesn't do this plugin justice. With a class A dev, and this amazing "minigame" styled approach to fishing, Pyro has turned an otherwise mundane activity into something fun!

The plugin works very well, is lightweight and adds a neat expansion to the otherwhise very blant fishing system of minecraft. In general I adore the works of Pyro (I bought pyromining on another acount and its also a very good plugin.)

This is a great plugin and you should support it. The developer obviously works very hard and it shows. I never thought I would buy a plugin, but this one just has so much potential, I had to support it.

I've been using Pyrofishing off and on for a year or two. When I discovered this premium version I knew I had to get it. Really cool plugin. I am excited for the future. :)

We've upgraded our PyroFishing to the Pro version, and it's been super smooth. We dropped in the jar, let it generate everything. Then replaced the player data we had from the old plugin, and boom. All set. Tweaked it to our liking, changed the msgs, add a few more fun rewards for eating certain fish and posted a bunch of suggestions to the author who has an interest in implementing it. The upgrade to premium was well worth it. Players love fishing and the player retention has increased because of it. I can't wait for running this on our 1.13.2 (when we upgrade) and can't wait to get more features in the future. Friendly developer, great support, nothing but a positive experience.

I've had the pleasure of not only knowing pyro but running his plugin(s) on my server. I've been following this resource specifically for nearly a year now and I continue to be impressed with the work he puts in.
