That plugin is awesome but newest version on modrinth is terrible and have a lot of bugs, -/r /cspy /staffchat don't working correctly on 1.20.4 and 1.20.6.... i joined support server and new dev said i dont give support for that version because of the old version(1.20.4 and 1.20.6 are old...) . If you want to use chatmanager, i suggest to use that version, in addition see another alternative for new versions

Good plugin, but many systems are dead or full bugged, dead support.

It is the "typical" plugin that wants to put 10 plugins in one and ends up full of errors.

Main problem = Support responds when they want to, even if they don't respond in 2 months they answer 1 message out of 100 in the chat and disappear again for a long time, disappointing).

the plugin comes with every single feature turned on, for no reason. it kicks players if they swear in signs, locks players out of logging in with nLogin because they have to move first, and re-enables the whisper command that i have disabled with luckyPerms. asked on the discord server why that is and the server owner immediately started calling me lazy and acting like a child.

Excellent features, only took me like 10 minutes to configure it. I recommend going through the whole config since there might be features that you would need to modify/disable/enable.

The plugin is pretty good, has many functions and is flexible in configuration, BUT the principle of the chat_radius function does not work properly: to write to a global chat according to the idea, you need to write "!" before the message, BUT IT DOES NOT WORK. The same thing happens when you try to write to a local or world chat, but switching the chat with the command /chatradius local or /chatradius global works without problems, BUT it's inconvenient! As long as the function of switching chats with the symbols "!", "#" and "$" does not work properly, my rating will be 3 stars.

No support for this resource, the author only answers some questions asked by users.
I reported a bug about a week ago, the author didn't even reply at first, only when I asked him about it two days later he just said he doesn't understand what I mean. Then I explained it to him and still no answer. I even reminded him after a day later that I explained it to him, still no answere.
All in all the author doesn't seem to care about bugs or fix them.
I don't know why there is even a support option if the author doesn't have time (as he said in other responses to reviews) or doesn't want to provide support.

And for these reasons I can't really recommend this plugin.

Good, but the default config shouldn't have so much settings turned on. Also, the repeated messages should be 3x before blocking-as that's when it usually becomes spam. Also, 2x messages often are legitimate.

Plugin version 3.7.4 I use it in java 16 airplane 1.17.1. I use this plugin because it is simple and full of options. The chatmanager plugin do what i's meant to correctly (chat with private message and many options).
GOOD TO KNOW I don't use the total plugin so my comment only corresponds to a few functions that I have used for 1 year now ! For the 1.17 versions, chatmanager doesn't do anymore the function for the json messages to answer a private message by simply clicking on it. The creator doesn't intend to fix this problem but instead take off the function (from what he told me on discord but don't forget that when I do this comment I'm in 3.7.4 version and so for the higher versions it's checked). Others problems well complex with antiswear and word banned just as antiadvertising which works in mp but not in global chat when I put the same settings fot both of them. I spent a lot of time and many times coming back on the discord asking for help, the developer answers very quickly but doesn't answer in a few hours and give up the request (I asked for help at least five times on hid discord and maybe two times on five I had a complete answer) it's a mess so when it comes to staff and antiswear, antiadvertising and blocked command I advise you another plugin plus chatmanager. I REMIND YOU THAT THIS COMMENT IS FROM 25/08/2021 VERSION 3.7.4 OF THE PLUGIN ! Plus if I see a change in the next versions this comment will be deleted or changed not to tell lies on the plugin

Good time of day. The fact is that even if you turn on the rank mode, configure everything letter to letter, the local chat does not want to be included in any way. I have already issued all the rights through LuckPerms, read the description of each right, checked that everything was filled in correctly, but ChatManager does not want to include a local chat in any of them. Plugin creator, please help. This way, only the global chat works. But nevertheless, for the rest of the functions I put 5 stars, only the local chat does not want to work. I really need your help.

great plugin, does what its supposed to do & very configurable. chat formatting works great with luckperms (thru vault) there is alot of broadcasts running by default, but they are easy to change/disable :D

Decent but didn't meet my expectations. First, there are way too many bloated features that I don't need. Second, ranks are messed up and I don't have my owner rank. Third, the announcement spam. I think if you removed some features it can be better.

the truth is I am a collector and a good configurator as a dev and I found this piece of diamond in spigot the best chat controller that there is so far does not interfere with discord chat or spam me with things that do not make sense eh bought chatcontrolPRO and That really gave me more pain than it helps xd, I recommend this plugin not as an alternative not as an impersonation to chatcontrolpro but as an affirmation of a clean and functional chat plugin.

This plugin is the best! I used ChatControl and it was very very unuseful. Use this plugin for manage your chat!

I like this plugin. It has everything what I want for my server and it's configurable. Also, the dev is very active and always ready to help you.

Some of it is a poor man's ripoff off of ChatControl Pro such as the menu system. A nice bonus are spelling errors: "go to the prevous page".

Some of the regex filters found in the source are also 'surprisingly' familiar, but again poorly implemented draining performance since 6*4 = 24 times calculations must be made each time you edit a sign.

It's BEAST, one of the most important plugins for me, you want staff chat ? just do /staff chat, you want prefixes ? there's prefixes, you want to make it auto broadcast a message ? this plugin can do this, you want it to make people stop swearing, this plugin will be able to disable swearing.

This is by far better than anything ChatControl can do. This is more diverse, and actually functions unlike anything coming from Mine Academy lol. Fantastic plugin, good for any server. I especially like the chat format features :) Nice to see something like Deluxe Chat's hover over information implemented though

I'm kinda sad to see this plugin, not at a full 5 stars. This plugin is one of those plugins that is a server owner's best friend. It saves the trouble of dealing with those annoying players who just join to troll or be annoying. It helps my staff a great deal to have this plugin to be able to catch players trying to loophole our rules and keeps our chat clean, friendly, and the conversation progressive and inviting.

The Anti-Advertising is especially powerful for defending other desperate server owners (or trolly players) from coming in and just spam-advertising their server making the mood in chat down in the dumps.

The Anti-Bot attack is simple but effective. Forcing players to move before chatting and executing commands is very nice for server owners not running Bungeecord for that extra layer of bot protection.

The Anti-Swear is a heavy hitter for me. It blocks every word I need it to, and then some. Though if you turn the "Increase_Sensivity" option to true, you can get false positives (that the developer himself even warns you about), but when you report them to the developer, he is friendly, courteous, and always looks into it. He'll try to think of a solution temporarily for you if you ask nicely and are polite, and will even work with you to diagnose the problem.

The Anti-Unicode paired with the "Increased_Sensitivity" option from Anti-Swear protects your server from those players who like to grab attention by using offensive symbols from a dark period in human history. It blocks those immature players from making a dumb decision on my server.

The Auto-Broadcast with its 3 options of chat, title, or action bar is extremely helpful when you want to throw a bit of server knowledge at the players, but not be so invasive into their screen space.

The multiple broadcast options allow for a diverse and powerful way to notify/remind players of server restarts, special events, or new announcements.

I could go on and on about this plugin, but spigot has a word cap :P so I will keep my review short. But hear this; Any server owner who takes the time to sit down and configure this plugin, and I mean REALLY configure it, will never regret it.

Perfect plugin, so far ive had 0 bugs ever since I started using it, The fact that I can trust chat to be managed by only 2 plugins(permission plugin)
means that there should be little to no compatability issues greatly increasing performance

This is real cool plugin and i will use it on my server! But... he has one problem, because of which i must use one more plugin for chat and it is chatex. I really don't know why you can't add function global/local chat with character "!" before the message. it is much more convenient than using the command each time to switch beetwen global and local chat. Very good plugins, so much customization! The only things I miss are being able to make survival, survival_nether and survival_the_end share the same chat, if I want per world chat on. Also. the sound effects seem not to be working, I tried sound effects: 'BURP', 'ORB_PICKUP' and 'block.anvil.fall', i just cant get it too work. Other than that, again amazing!

It's not a huge deal, plugin still works as it should but it just fills up my console with errors.

The best of the best. I've used other regulation plugins before, and they were great. They were nothing compared to this one, which basically bundles tons of protection/regulation plugins into one. It's incredibly useful and open for customization, and it's free! I recommend this entirely.

The author works really hard into the plugin, he helps everyone fast as possible, has medium knowledge on other plugins so if plugins like LuckPerms is interfering with Chat Manager he can fix the issue quickly! I love this plugin and it's developer!

its great it works great! no errors and the dev is quick to fix errors if they arise

couple suggestions for the chat bot

1. make it wait anywhere from 3-5 sec (that would make it feel more like a person typed it)
2. add in the option for extra "executed commands" for each reply
3. options to run the commands from the console/players perspective
4. i have many more as well pm me if you want

This is a really nice plugin, and is free :D Just a suggestion, can you add that players with X permission can see all world's chat? (Like the permission perworldchat.bypass, but more like spy-chat) I'll really appeciate if you can do that :)

Amazing plugin! it does everything that most other plugins have failed to do in its area, Placeholder api compatibility, Every other Chat formattng plugin either does not actually work with placeholder or, they have some other weird way of using placeholders, this works perfectly! easy to use and lightweight no lag, lovely autobroadcaster and anti bot!

I like the plugin, but I don't know if I'm blind and can't find it, but is there an option where we can turn off the custom /motd, /rules and /msg that comes with this plugin? I just want to use it for the Anti-BOT and Anti-Spam.
