Good plugin , the only thing i want is Custom NBT support like itemsadder or mythicmobs and a file were you can manage the levels if you want like the first level 200 xp and the second 400 xp for exemple

Best plugin ever, used it for years, if want 1.21 support use dev builds, dont write a bad review for bugs, i never had any bug using dev builds 10/10 plugin (Cant review support, i never used it because the plugin is just perfect, recommended, if want better ui just use a gui plugin, and make them execute commands, it is very compatible with all plugins and everything you will need in your server)

Has been broken since update to 1.21. Spammed errors with every potion use. Lost compatibility with nearly every plugin. Repeated requests for assistance. Either ignored or advised that jobs works perfectly fine with 1.21 despite being shown errors and guarenteed ways to reproduce them. I've used jobs for years. Currently looking for a different economy solution.

Been using this plugin for YEARS. 10/10, heavily recommended for any economy server. The customization options for the default jobs, and the options available to make new jobs are well worth the time investment!

Should be a paid plugin, it's activately maintained since 9 years, only reliable jobs plugin on the market, and people who review this badly just don't know to configure it properly or how to report an issue.

I guess its community driven help so not gonna assume a fast response from them and its not a must to give answer from community anyway.. But its kinda same thing for CMI which is paid plugin...

It's super plugin for me, also exist one problem i think that cannot be editable,
When you use in you're server suffix and prefix, the lenght of displayname (job) i think it's too long, and i search for change that for not display so bad in chat for me..,
But anyway with any solutions , if was that editable was 5 stars* for you're work but , momentan not found a fix for that :)

Good plugin, unbelievably slow/almost nonexistent support.
Updating to obs5.2.3.0 broke combability with PyroFishingPro. I had to downgrade back to Jobs5.2.2.5.

A whole lot of fun, and very configurable. My server loves this plugin, it's definitely a staple. The default jobs are pretty good, but it's also easy to extend them and create new jobs if you spend the time doing it.

No good, players can place blocks, break,place, break ect and get infinite XP. Same for seeds, anything thats exploitable stays exploitable in this plugin

For people who put 1 star, when the dev will abandon the plugin because of your reviews you'll be the first to cry. The plugin is maintained and up to date since 2015, dev try to quickly fix issues. Performances are way better than before, plugin has some little issues but it's running fine. I'll make a donation for the good work :)

Not many plugins like this one, good functionality and fun for players.
Could use a balance update / adding new blocks and mobs from MC updates. Default configs are pretty outdated so using this without configuring is unrecommended. Quests don't work very well and could also use an update however there are many quest plugins out there to use instead of this.

Just wish there will be someone else with 2 brain cells. Every update does mix things up. This time %jobsr_user_jobs% instead giving the name of the job as it use to be in 5.0.0.8 does extract name with color ! so my other plugins didnt worked as intented due this change that was not mention at all ! dont go to me an say oh report that on discord because i wont go to your " over political right" where calling someone guy is insulting because is not as it can stand for freind /mate/mush/giza/homie or other english way to say friend. So sort this shit out or please someone make it better <3

Ive restarted my server 4 times now with this .jar in plugins folder and nothing happens. It doesnt create a folder, it doesnt create a config.yml it doesnt do a single thing.

I cant do /jobs in the server (of course).

I cant do anything. This plugin does nothing at all but occupy a tiny bit of space on my servers' hard drive.

In itself a good approach, but you don't even respond to feature requests and the whole plugin is very confusing or has simply stopped in terms of design.

Great plugin with a lot of functionalities. But the support on Discord is terrible. Or better said there is no support to be found. The developer (Zrips) itself is inactive for almost 4 months and the other admin/dev doesn't seem to know how the code works or got configured based on his answers. Really sad tho for such a great plugin.

It's safe to assume most of the bad reviews are from user config errors. There are little bugs here and there, but not very many at all. The configuration is complex, and can be confusing. Please take time to read it, and go through it. And if you need help, ask the author, instead of making bad reviews and never coming back.

This plugin is perfect with CMI. Very light on the resources and gives an extra aspect to the gameplay. Get this one and implement a economy.

The 5.0.0.6 has major issues with saving datas. Doesn't matter if sqlite or mysql. It saves data double and removing the progress and jobs after disconnect. The issue is reported in Github ans in the Discussion. I recommend to downgrad to the last 4.x Version of the plugin or remove it on production servers until the database issues are fixed!

The names of the items are not translated into my language (Spanish), supposedly there is a file but it is not translated, otherwise it is a great plugin.

CMI spoils everything. This is well known. The developer contacted CMILib and immediately ditched his creation.

Hello , Would it be possible to add a special placeholder? % jobsr_user_jobs% is good but unfortunately the names of the jobs are getting too long for my scoreboard display. Would it be possible to display the short form of the profession. As an example Builder = Bu Then 3 professions would fit well into the scoreboard.

In 1.16.5 I use Essentials for chat plugin. The {jobs} doesn't replace with job name :/

Plugin is buggy and doesn't work properly on its latest version. The developer is not active since the 17th of March. As other reviews say, users have been posting error messages in the discussion section to help the developer fix the bugs, but he hasn't said anything yet.
I've been waiting for a few weeks before writing this review just in case the developer has been busy just for a few days, but it has been more than a month now. I'll change my review if the plugin gets fixed soon since it's very useful and has a nice GUI. If not, my review will stay like this since the developer should warn the community about the cease of his activity.

Finding a job plugin today that works in the latest versions is extremely difficult. It is a type of plugin that is much sought after by survival servers.

Very disappointing.

Player can join only first job, all other joins will fail with the message that player already joined this job.

Look forward to a couple of fixes in the near future but this is a 5-star plugin.. if you don't think so well, make something similar then... ill wait...

Jobs Reborn 4.17.1 version is bugged all players already have all jobs when first join a must use version before 4.17.0 because this version 4.17.1 is buged

It was good at first. i dont really know what's going on but it keeps saying that the OP players have all the jobs. I had to join and leave each job one at a time. but even then the next day i logged on it was back to having the same problem. It's a bit annoying when there is a larger player base.

After a reboot, the "works" are confused. And all the placeholders associated with the number of workers + players levels show anything but the correct numbers. (I use a translator)

I can't select a job. The GUI opens and everything works for the most part, but you can't select which job you'd like to work. You click it and nothing happens. No message (including error msgs) shows up. Hoping this gets fixed. It's a big part of my server.

Sometimes the features of the plugin are a little all over the place. But any bug report gets handled, there's dev builds on Discord which is super helpful. And it's still open source. I like that this project is still alive in 2021 and ready for 1.16.5 spigot. I haven't found another jobs plugin that really does what i want, thanks for keeping it current.

I really like jobs reborn because it has many useful features and is very customizable.
I cant really say much about issues with database conversion as all the bad ratings below me did (however Im pretty sure it doesnt work since I tried it once - didnt work - but converting it by hand wasnt too big of an issue).
Even if it doesnt work, the plugin is opensource and anyone can try to make it work.
The only thing I dont like too much is that there isnt an api to use with jobs and external boosterplugins, I mentioned this in a github feature request!
That would make a lot of sense and would also make my life easier by a lot :D

Used to come with a bunch of pre-configured jobs, now you have to manually create every single job from scratch.

1. Support ignores in discussions.

2. Data conversion from sqlite to sql and back works incorrectly. The data is entered into the database, but the plugin does not see it back and does not understand it. That is, the conversion is useless. You will change the storage system-get ready to enter all the data by hand

Probably the best plugin in order to give players a stable income for an economy driven server. The plugin is simple, has efficient UI, well updated, and customizable. My favorite is designing my own income and experience algorithms for the jobs!

It's a good plugin and very nice to have and grind with however it is not perfect. I believe Jobs can be optimized and made more lightweight to favor performance. There must be a more efficient way to do what this plugin does and I hope the developers can work towards that and hopefully release more frequent updates :)

The plugin has been ruined with the last update. The boosting system is absolutely bunkers, and now smaller values take precedence over larger ones.

So lets say you have a rank that gives +50% bonus, and another that gives +10% bonus. The player with the +50% bonus will only have the lower +10% bonus.

Lately some jobs disappear for no reason from / jobs browse for no reason. Then the blacksmith trade in the menu has the ID of the anvil (145) and displays a green wool ...

After updating to 4.16.2 (my server is paper 1.16.1), the Quests function stopped working. I just finished down-grading to 4.16.0 and Quests works again. Whatever you did in the latest update broke Quests.

Jobs has been our of my players most favorite plugin for the past year and a half, regular updates with good support. We have a whole wall of top 10 'Job' where players compete to be first :) You can really dig into configuring this plugin, changing variables for payouts, setup elaborate daily jobs where a miner should mine x,y and z to get paid 1000 money or 1 diamond, you can do it all! Thanks for a great plugin!

Honestly it's an alright plugin. The bugs that come up are annoying. It takes a LOT to config. Only good thing is the amount of configuration it has. scheduling events and times is done in a timezone of the author which is never stated so that's cool. It's full of bugs. If you NEED a jobs plugin, go for it with this one, but if you're able to, I recommend checking another plugin if ya can. Been infuriating to the point where I want to learn java just to make a new jobs plugin. Gets the job done in a shoddy way, and support is nonexistent so keep messing with those files. If you pick this plugin, good luck.

The latest version for 1.16.2 has a major memory leak, i informed the author but he scapegoated the problem with pointless excuses.

I see in the update there is the "Fix when the money/exp/points displayed different values than original. This was caused by boosted items. (montlikadani)" I made this an issue on github and you lied and blamed me that it works fine.

You can't customize the /jobs browse, there isn't placeholders for it so this plugins is not that much very customizable.

Doubtful quality (bugs, a lot of bugs), but functional and highly customizable plugin. Please, do more regular updates with fixes.

This plugin work correctly, but i think : more documentation or a wiki could be a great idea.

When you are not native english speaker, with documentation, it's easier to understand.

I do have one problem. Some lines are causing problems for me.
I'll do smelt iron ingot and when i reload the plugin turns red and it forces me to reinstall the plugin entirely :/ otherwise works just as it should.

You can add console command support to the plugin every time they come to work or leave the job to run the console command to the player to give them range with separate permissions, and when they quit the job take away the range

As someone previously said, this is an amazing plugin with premium level configuration. As a server owner, you should know how difficult it is to keep plugins constantly updated and working. Be patient, PROPERLY report the bugs you find, wait for them to be fixed (no matter how long it takes).

Bugs in 1.14.4, its been 2 weeks telling developers, no developer cared about it. Bad developers.

Really good plugin. I use it on my private server and it's a good add-on to receive money beside farming (Selling stuff) and you can do it while being AFK. A must-have for my server. Five stars.

it's crazy how many disrespectful server owners whom have had this jobs content added to their server for FREE, expect amazing support. IF YOU WANT SUPPORT HOW ABOUT YOU SHOW SOME SUPPORT and donate to the developer. The past poor reviews are insane to me. This is a free plugin with arguably a premium level of configuration. The developers are extremely easy to work with but aren't able to fix/add things immediately because they have other priorities.

Worst plugin I have been able to use since I have a minecraft server. The 2 devs of this plugin are self-explanatory and never solve the problem of the plugin.

I updated from version 4.15.5 to 4.15.6 All I did was replace the jars and changed no configuration (There are no notes saying file changes). The plugin stops working and people will not earn money on 4.15.6. Backdating to 4.15.5 fixes this issue however the Dev would adamant that there were no issues in 4.15.6 and that it was my fault.

The Support is non-existent. When you run into issues with the plugin, no matter how experienced you are, the Dev will tell you that his plugin works fine and it is something that you have done wrong. After being unable to diagnose what was wrong with the plugin or my configurations, his advise was to "reset my database" which would cause all player data to be wiped.


Updates
About 95% of the updates will contain bugs. If you do decide to download this plugin I would not update your jars until they have been out for 1-2 weeks as they WILL contain bugs.


Plugin
The plugin as a whole is very nice and a great addition to all Minecraft servers, when it works. If you do decide to use this I would keep regular backups of your plugins files as it is likely to break on updates.


It is sad that I had to give this plugin a 1 star rating, If the Dev acknowledged that there were issues in the update, and attempted to fix the bugs promptly, this would have definitely been a 4-5 stars review. But as it stands on 4.15.6 (which is the version I am rating) this plugin is broken and unusable.

I do love that plugin... the only problem is when you set up something it will never be save. for example : /jobs moneyboost miner 0.5 will never stay after a reload or closing your cmd server

A gold standard job plugin with little competition and working perfectly on 1.14.4. I do feel it is overly complicated and could be streamlined for both owners and players. We would love to see better support and expanded job quests! Thanks for the great work and continued updates!

It's not configurable enough to avoid exploits.
Also, you can level up in creative worlds, There should be a config to check if the player is in creative, then jobs won't work.
Building with ores punishes the user.
A great example is MCMMO, that only natural blocks give points, so building with ores won't punish you.

Very good and complete plugin but it's too easy for a player to earn money it's cheating, for instance you only have to place a sapling then destroy it, replace destroy it, etc... i know we can remove money and exp when someone do it but you just have to tell an other player to place the sapling for you, I KNOW, you can remove money and exp from every job for doing it but when a player with good intentions will place a sapling just to get a tree he will lose money and exp although he didn't "cheat"

Features dont work like they claim, Never gotten quests to work correctly since its been implemented and there are FAR to many memory leaks as well as bugs with in this plugin. Im done after several years putting up with the problems of this plugin I leaving and will just deal with not having a way to make money as jobs. I DO NOT recommend this plugin, it is far to complicated for how plugins are now a days which is not necessary.

Non-functional plugin for multi-servers, data between databases are not synchronized properly. Support is mediocre when it comes to approving that their plugin has problems that last for months or even years and are not fixed.
I do not recommend this plugin if you are using a multi-server set

There were more than 4 million records backing up job SQL
I don't know if it's too much recording.
There are a few players who exceed the maximum number of professions.
And the same profession that appears repeatedly when inquiring about career information

Check for duplicate occupations and remove them
Check players who exceed the maximum number of classes and repair them
Hope to optimize MySQL savings in the new version

Awesome plugin! The developer can't speak the best english and there are a few language barriers here and there but it doesn't change the fact that this plugin is amazing. The developers is also really kind, helpful and understanding. Would really recommend this!

Good Plugin basically, but on /reload it gets bugged. The Code is not the best, the plugin is using the Minecraft /tell command for telling someone that he completed a quest instead of coding a message for this. You can't change the currency in the Jobs shop. And if you use the integrated message locales/translations, then your plugin is 50% English and 50% your language.

Refuses to acknowledge a real memory leak of 2GB and has 4 issues closed on GitHub without a real response. We're gonna have to send a pull request to get this fixed since Zrips believes his code is immaculate.

Very robust and customizable plugin. I don't have any issues with it that I know of.

For server owners, change the configuration before you use this! While it's a good plugin, the default configuration is absolute garbage. It took me a few hours to change everything to my liking, but after that it was absolutely perfect.

Good plugin, but McMMO integration is broken for some reason with the latest version. I bought the "Overhaul" version of McMMO (since it was stated to be compatible with Jobs), but no luck. This is obviously a big issue, since players can obtain a lot of money with abilities such as tree feller.

This plugin is nuts. So many awesome things for players to do. No major issues, which is unheard of with such a huge plugin and for free also. I recommend it highly for anyone trying to increase the fun of a server and add some more reasons to have economy.

An absolutely amazing resource with customizability unlike any other plugins. With enough work, any server can make their version feel completely unique from others. Bugs are fixed relatively quickly and support is excellent.

The plugin is working great so far. Though I'm using the latest 1.12 version of it, it's working great. Hopefully can get it working with a couple other plugins to have it be more unique for my own server. ^,..,^

I do not recommend using this terrible plugin on servers with large online, as it causes memory leaks of more than 6 GB, and the author refuses to fix it, although I pointed out to him where the problem is.

Could you pass me the github link so I can open a ticket because no one on my server is earning xp or money. As if the jobs, although they are active "already working" no one wins xp or money, it is only level, when typing / jobs stats everything is zeroed.

People with default rank (without op) dont get paid but they joined a job. If you fix this i will give 5 stars

Great Plugin! We want to build it around the DailyQuest System. It would be great if they wouldn´t reset after restarts. Otherwise our users would be able to exploit our intendet system.
As soon as it´s permanent we can add this to our current Jobs!

Super broken plugin. Over 70 bug reports with a month of no reply. It is a unusable plugin at this point on 1.13. I have posted my bug reports on github already. It seems like a lot of item ids are mixed up. Adding spruce_log under break does not pay, and instead stripped logs pay. Full grown crops pay even if they are not full grown. No join button on the jobs browse but it says to pick a job?

The plugin would be really cool if it does not crash the server! The error message is something with Java Runtmine is not true but with all other plugins it works! (Server: 1.13.1)

I used to only join servers with this plugin on them, jobs adds a really fun aspect to a server. Never had any issues with this plugin.

So i added jobs in my server and now it randomly shuts my server off. I take it out and everything works fine. I think its the config or maybe another plugin is countering it. Any ideas? Jobs is my players favorite plugin and were unable to use it.

It's a great plugin for many reasons, but currently several aspects are broken which frustrates my players, such as sugar cane awards no money for the farmer job despite me adding it to the config.

The Job Woodcutter dosent work for me also the Farmer doesnt work. Only Pumpkin give Money and XP 1.12.2

The Plugin is very good!
But the Woodcutter is broken and so I can not earn Money with this job.

Loads correctly into 1.13 but there is a mismatch conf with some block mames and you don't get money for any of the jobs...

Great plugin, players love it! Works exactly like it should with no weird glitches or errors. So much customization to everything, including the chat prefix allowing me to make it match my chat style
