Good plugin, a little fiddly around some areas, fx. ladders etc.
Also confusing that the ViaBackwards version and the ViaVersion version had to be the same, but figured it out quite fast.

I ran into recent issues where i couldn't get on my server.
I hadn't updated all 3 of these to the latest version, instead only updating ViaVersion.

i recommend to add option in the config to add only the versions i want to add to my server. i dont want to open my server to any older version i want only 1.19+ and my server 1.19.3 so i want to 1.19.2 and 1.19.1 only add.

Please fix it so that the bossbar display is normal on kernel 1.12.2 on version 1.8

A great plugin that lets your users on older versions connect nearly seamlessly on your modern software. Keeps our players on older computers able to connect. Thanks for a great resource!

Really cool. The only thing that could improve this plugin is being able to change blocks yourself. by that i mean a blocks.yml for example. and in it it shows like
white_concrete: quartz_block
so you can customize the blocks for older versions. other than that this is insane

It's great although there are issues with boats on 1.7 and 1.8 clients. I can't wait for viabackwards for 20w45a to come out, because I want to update my survival server. I am using geyser, and bedrock is still on 1.16.3 so I need viabackwards for them to join.

I really like this plugin.
It works pretty well.

But:
If for example a 1.12 player has a netherite pickaxe in it's inventory, it's rendered as a diamond pickaxe... I don't have a problem with this... But the server has... If a 1.12 player then opens it's inventory the netherite pickaxe turns into an ACTUAL diamond pickaxe and destroys pretty much the use of all new stuff...

Really good job guys! This plugins is very util for many server I know, and talking with owners they told me they would like this plugin get updated. Actually also I want this plugin get updated because if not I'm forced to close my server and also other owner. Get busy guys and good luck!

It's a good plugin, does what it says it does. and doesn't require any additional configurations. I don't care much for 1.13 as I just want this for a skygrid server. which can run on 1.12 just fine.

This is a great plugin, ignore all those kiddies giving 1-star reviews thinking this is a problem with this plugin when they haven't even set their EULA to true. Also, just because a plugin is still not updated but works great on older versions, it doesn't mean it deserves a 1-star. Stop shouting at the developers and giving them bad reviews, hoping they update. This is a resourceful but free plugin, and the developers are not slaves. They are temporarily inactive due to a lack of time, read the page. It's not like they have to update a free plugin on their work hours.

Anyway, I love all of this stuff, some people get tricked into thinking servers are always on the latest version somehow, and ViaVersion is really useful for staying on 1.12.2 (because of the world data switcheroo).

Nearly flawless. Since I'm giving a good review, might as well report a tiny issue...
On older versions, trapdoors, slabs, etc seem to always place on the lower half of the blocks, even if you look on the top half.

Added to my server, Did not work. I deleted the viaversion config and restarted the server with viaversion 1.3.0 and the latest version of this plugin. Nothing happened.

This plugin is AMAZING! It is very much plug-and-play as it just works instantly. Everything works as it should AND smoothly! One issue is, and I know it is because it isn't supported. 1.8-1.8.9 .. Why not? I don't want to add ProtocolSupport as well as this plugin JUST for 1.8 to work, why won't you add support for 1.8?! Please add support?

I have experienced no bugs with this compatibility plugin. Switched from Protocolsupport, and I am not going back.

Excellent plugin! Makes life so much easier. It's almost always older clients joining newer servers, not the other way around, so this is a MUCH needed addition to ViaVersion. For those wondering -- the 1.12.2 update has been pushed to the git repo. I'm assuming they are running last minute tests and a .jar download will likely be available within a day or two.

Does what it claims thus far. I have only tested it by connecting to a 1.12 server with a 1,11,2 client. There are warnings in the console (a little annoying, maybe they could be moved to a separate log to keep the console clean?) but so far no issues with a 1.11.2 client connecting to a 1.12 server.

Great plugin, better than ProtocolSupport IMO. Actually supports renaming and has effort put into it. ProtocolSupport is way worse for having no names for backported blocks, no configuration, and terrible support. I really think you should update this when you get the time again, as ProtocolSupport is incomplete and the creator of it refuses to actually add any features that would make it even slightly more complete.

Good plugin although would be better if I could run it on a 1.11 or 1.11.2 server to allow 1.10, would be so much better.

I could use ProtocolSupport for 1.9, 1.8, 1.7, 1.6, 1.5 and 1.4 compatibilty, this for 1.10 support and ViaVersion for 1.11.x support if Spigot does not have it already.
