Purchased this many years ago with zero issues until I attempted to use it recently. Versions 1.20.6 and 1.21 are not working with Featherboard and a lot of people have mentioned it. Please don't purchase until the author addresses and fixes these issues. (Author replied to my DM once and has not spoken to me since)

Attempted to contact author 3 different times. Email, Thread and DM but no reply. Plugin does not start running Java 21 or 18 on Spigot 1.20-21 would suggest another plugin at this point as there is very little support. (According to his DM auto reply up to 1 month before a reply)

Pluigin doesn't work in 1.20.6 for me. I even tried versions 5.7 and 5.7.1

It is really difficult to get support I opened a ticket on spigot/forums like you state on this page but no help.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLUGIN!!!! Doesn't work on 1.20.6 but nothing an update can't fix. Cant wait for the update to release so I can use this on my server again.

For $20 this is a steal... I've tried others and always ran into issues. Spent the $20 and had an issue at first but then it resolved itself. This is by far the best scoreboard plugin ever created for Minecraft hands down. The amount of customization is unreal. It's running smoothly with zero issues 2 days after purchase. Definitely a new favorite of mine. If you need a scoreboard seriously buy this one you will not regret it. If you have the money to spend just do it.

I am hugely disappointed with this plugin, it is noted that it supports 1.7 and 1.8, when no, we have to use a version other than Java 8, which these versions do not support. I don't advise you to buy this plugin if you use these versions, the author doesn't even bother to mention it.

1.12. is listed in the tested versions but this plugin does not work on 1.12.2. using old versions of this plugin works, but the plugin is "unable to fetch modules" on these older versions. i paid money for this plugin thinking i would get the latest updates on my 1.12.2 server, as it clearly lists 1.12 as a tested version. not everyone wants to, or is capable of compiling your plugin every time a new version comes out. the fact that this plugin is premium, and somewhat expensive, should imply that the latest version of the plugin works with the versions you claim it was tested on

Can't work with mc 1.7 or 1.8 bcz it wants java11+ or theses versions uses java7 or 8. ty for the fix.

I'm leaving 4 stars because I have a good experience with this plugin and have had it for YEARS, I mean since like maybe 1.8 ish maybe before. Recently I have chosen to make a server on 1.20.4 and this plugin keeps breaking every time I join the server. Spams my console. I assume it's because of the part where he wrote "Plugin tested on 1.19 and confirmed to work" but in the top, it says it is tested on 1.7-1.20. Please update that as I at first was expecting to not have any issues loading this plugin up and I now have to wait till you release an updated real version for 1.20 or if it takes too long, I might just have to go with a different scoreboard plugin.

The plugin of my childhood, I love it very much. <3 I'm eagerly awaiting its update to 1.20.4!

I will change my review once this is fixed. Initially I had no issues with featherboard, it worked fine on my server, however last update of 1.20.4 caused the featherboard or something caused the featherboard to completely crash my servers, therefore I had to rollback and then remove featherboard! No one has any idea why this happened, however looking at some reviews, seems others have the same issue.

Certainly among the top Scoreboard plugins on the market, I've been using the plugin over the past few years, amazing features and ongoing development. Setting up the plugin is straightforward and easy to understand.

1.20.4 would be greatly appricated as I'm looking to update in the next few weeks.

Recommendation to switch to AnimatedScoreboard. While it does not have as many features it simply doesn't have as many random gotchas either.

Pros:
- No proprietary placeholder api.
- Free
- Very simple and no observable cpu usage due to not loading an entire javascript framework for effects.
- Works with more plugins out of the box. (Somehow)

Cons:
- Less features, but less unnecessary bloat.

This resource works great. Takes a little bit of time to get it set up how you want it, but other than that, it's a literal perfect scoreboard plugin that functions exactly as it is advertised. Love how it supports CMI and PAPI as well. Thank you for that.

Great scoreboard plugin that has worked for so long! Very happy with it and it's pretty easy to use.

Used this plugin for YEARS, and for years, I have been waiting for the "events" feature that is said to exist to actually be added. The wiki for it is literally the word "test". Great plugin but don't love a premium plugin that advertises a feature that is just "test". Overall the wiki is very meh, IMO

Re-started my old server again and updated everything to 1.19.3. This plugin still work fluent as always: amazing developer and it's always updated! Don't listen to people that don't even read the wiki and take it! You won't be disappointed!

Very good plugin! I use it on my server and it is very good. Only thing is I want to be able to change the message when you do /fb toggle or /fb on/off.

Doesn't work for 1.8 or for 1.12.2. So dumb and I can't find support anywhere. I've tried everything to fix this but no luck.

The plugin in all is nice. But theres one thing missing in newer versions MiniMessage.

We are using this plugin a long time ago because every server can find your own necessary placeholders in the libary.

FeatherBoard have an special ability: It's never produced bugs for me.

1.12 - 1.18.2

FeatherBoard is a decent scoreboard plugin, but this plugin hasn't received any feature update since v2.0.2b (~10 months ago), and other scoreboard plugins are starting to catch up. You might want to look for a better alternative. There isn't much you can do with the API (according to the documentation).

Whilst many encourage me to use alternatives to FeatherBoard, FeatherBoard has never once done me wrong and has worked/served its exact purpose.

The people below me are dumb, obviously newer version of Minecraft requires Java16, and Java17 so in order for Featherboard to add support for 1.17, and 1.18 they need to abandon Java8, for people who wants to use Featherboard on 1.8-1.16 Download the old version of Featherboard its on the version history. USE YOUR BRAIN SOMETIMES!

Atm the only plugin that doesn't work with java 16+, I'm running 1.8.8 and all my others plugins are working fine with latest java version but I needed to downgrade my java version to make this plugin work (tried on latest java17 and java16 versions from oracle.com)

And unfortunately, one of my needed plugins is only working on java 16+ so for now I'm gonna use another scoreboard plugin in replacement.

Great plugins. The only thing bad about it is the support. I'm having really hard times finding where I can get support from the creator.. I have some problems I want fixed and I searched all over the internet, but can't find anything that works. honestly still one of the good scoreboard plugins out there. However the price doesn't really justify for what it brings.
It takes a long time to boot the server with this plugin on, and it doesn't seem there is any improvements being made regarding this issue. There are more and more free alternatives out there, admittedly do lack some features this plugin got, but honestly functional, and even updated to 1.18 already.

Have to leave a lower review, the plugin developer had more than a month to add support for Java 17. The nashorn issue has been fixed in the latest build master branch, however, it doesn't look like the developer is updating to it for some reason. I don't know if it's because it's broken, however, it would be nice to actually know what is broken so other developers could help fix the issue.

Lowering my rating from 3 stars to 2 stars as the plugin doesn't work with any placeholders when running on Minecraft 1.8.9

I know the dev has repeatedly stated it requires the newer version of Java, but MC 1.8.9 doesn't work with anything other than at MAX Java 11

I bought this plugin specifically because it says it is compatible with 1.7 through 1.17.1, and as far as I can tell, that's a lie as it does not support 1.8 clearly.

I have ensured I am using the latest version of the plugin, the latest PAPI Jar and the latest MvDW Placeholder API and even BASIC placeholders don't work.

Not to mention the fact, I am desperately attempting to find support in case it is something I am doing wrong. However, the only support the developer offers is through a general spigot forum thread. Which is frankly ridiculous seeing as a discord server takes 2 seconds to set up and is free.

@Maximvdw please please PLEASE update the spigot page to accurately reflect what versions it's compatible with and create a proper support system. Maybe I won't feel as cheated if I could actually get support from... you know... the person I bought the product from? Not some randos on the forums that don't know what they are talking about.

Avoid if you plan to use on a 1.17 server, the current version, which is a BETA, isn't reliable at all, the developer thought it was a good idea to release the BETA of his new V5 version for 1.17 instead of giving us a working and updated V4 version FIRST, so now we're stuck with this non-working and downgraded "new" BETA version.

This is an excellent plugin and I´m checking everyday for the 1.17.1 update but still no update. Please update it to a stable release I want to use it on my productive server :) If I can help in any way please contact me @author

It does not work in Java 17 my friend, the plugin stopped working when current the Java 17 docker which has much better performance than Java 16 (I use FeatherBoard5)

It is an excellent plugin with a very intuitive and easy to achieve configuration.

Love the scoreboard. Love the plugin. However, would really appreciate it if the scoreboard didn't spam console when it fails to load a placeholder immediately. Would also like a feature to delay when the scoreboard pulls data from its placeholders.

Finally, only the beta version of the plugin is downloadable from Spigot yet the author says to use an earlier version. Love the plugin, don't regret buying... just wish there was more user-friendliness in the config settings and more version downloads available.

Hey! Its a really good plugin. There is only one little thing. Thats the loading time of the Plugin. Im using it on 1.16.5. Its need 17 seconds to load. Thats to long. But everything else is really good.

Awesome plugin, price is definitely steep but considering you are getting considerably the best Scoreboard plugin, it is for sure worth it.

For anyone updating to 1.17, remove Mvdw and update your placeholderapi to the latest version. If your placeholders aren't working then make sure they look like ex. %player_name% and not ex. {player_name} or {placeholderapi_player_name}. Working great on my 1.17.1 server and look forward to more updates!

Working for me at 1.17.1 although unicode placeholder and you cannot use mvdwplaceholder placeholder for a moment. Only PAPI placeholder

An essential plugin for any Minecraft server.

I can say without a doubt, this plugin has made all the servers I worked on stand out with the canvas this plugin brings. The canvas, being the scoreboard, allows me to have a place where players can see their information at a glance and its seamless with this plugin. It really is light as a feather because this plugin never tainted with server preformance. The documentation is really easy followed by the customization is insane with this plugin too.

All the other reviews usually complain about it being too expensive, but it's the equivalent to a streaming service subscription for a month.

It's not amazing but it's not terrible. There is only so much you can do with a scoreboard and at the high price this one is lacking in features. Yes, it can create a scoreboard, yes there is minimal lag, but support is really 50/50. It feels like this plugin could be beaten by cheaper or even free plugins. Sort of like it's falling behind.

This plugin is very beneficial, however support for Java 16 would be nice for the upcoming 1.17 release.

Average rating, beacuse mysql support is broken, and author doesn't fix it from for over a year, despite many posts in discussions.

Fix MySQL pls, I'm writing in discussion (and other peoples) about this year ago and week ago. This plugin actually makes a lot of errors without useSSL option. Phpmyadmin ban my VPS ip for too many errors from this plugin. Just add useSSL option to prevent errors. I will change rate after fix.

Waiting a year to fix FeatherBoardAPI, I send a lot of posts in discuss section and still nothing, I am just ignored by author. Plugin great but has a lot of bugs, problems and no support. When plugin will be fixed, I will change a rate.

Cant really recommend buying FeatherBoard. I mean the plugin is quite good and definetly doesnt cause any unnessecary lag. I reported some errors about deprecated warnings at start tho (they were never fixed) and there was literally no support. The dev said its fixed even tho it isnt. Also last updated in September last year in a resouce thats >$10 (I think even $25 or sth) isnt really acceptable..
Also that the author only responds to negative reviews and nothing else isnt good either.
I liked FeatherBoard and thought itd be worth buying but the support is just awful!

I don't need animations or something useless feature what we can get from free sources.

FeatherBoard is an amazing plugin and a must-have for every server admin. You will not find a better plugin for customizing your scoreboard.

I had been making Minecraft servers for the past 5 years and FeatherBoard is the plugin to go if you want to make a really customizable scoreboard.
Sure, you can go with a free scoreboard that just shows some text and colours, maybe even animations. But if you want a truly variable scoreboard, FeatherBoard is a perfect choice.
Maybe one complain I have is that Featherboard wrecks Luckperms verbose... but that's another topic.
10/10 would recommend.

Plugin was good for a while but recently has started deleting modules and causing placeholders to break. There is currently not a fix for this.

If I could give this plugin 10 stars I would. It supports just about every plugin I run. I love this plugin so much, I'm just not sure it's worth the near 20 USD I spent on it. Maybe in the future the developer could bring the price down some.

I don't know if it's worth 17.99EUR but to be honest, it's the best scoreboard plugin out there and is surprisingly easy to configure, I just didn't expect the way it was done with each line having a different configuration, but it actually makes sense for the performance. I like using Featherboard so at least there's that. Oh, and it gets updated often compared to its competition.

This plugin is amazing. It's got a TON of placeholders, almost infinite customizability, and truly runs super quickly! You can easily make super stylish scoreboards without even needing to know some crazy configs. My only complaint is that reloading the plugin freezes the *whole* server while it's reloading.

Its good although for some reason some of my place holders turn to {placehoderapi_beasttokens} or just turn into the placeholder name, not sure why, and I have to manually reload the plugin to fix it

With the update, I improve the performance a little, but there are glitches in the screboard with some plugins, which disables the placeholderapi, since every time put / featherboard reload default, annoying, it should update well for future versions of minecraft since For this reason, buy the add-on, please fix it immediately.

This plugin is excellent! I love the whole config and all the cool features. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star is that its a little bit on the heavier side when it comes to a scoreboard plugin. Don't get me wrong, get this plugin! it's perfect and looks professional for your server but it needs some tweaks for it to get a 5-star rating.

On 1.12.2 the scoreboard does not work correctly, the placeholder goes crazy. Server core 1.15.2

MySQL isn't good configured (author don't think about max connection time), very bad help, a lot of glitches, but very extensive and interesting plugin. Another boards inherits lines from default and I can't fix this!

Didn't realize this plugin is still out for such a high price. Wish the support was better for the price paid for it. I remember when I tried to contact you for 3 months trying to get a problem fixed, and still not fixed to this day. ahhhhh, the memories.

This plugin generates performance leak after ~1 hour when server has ~140 players online. It hard downgrades server's TPS. After "plugman reload FeatherBoard" or "fb reload", TPS become normal up to 30 minutes before this plugin will not ruin it again. Also, today I have experienced weird problems that broke scoreboards on all my servers completly. They changed something on their "update servers" and now variables do not work. I have tried to disable updating in config but it did not help.

I really do not recommend it, they live experimenting on users. Today I had to disable this plugin on whole network just because this plugin started to be broken by their mistake. Very irresponsible.

This plugin has compatibility issues with other well used plugins (ProtocolSupport) and the dev refuses to fix. I would not recommend this plugin to anyone who uses ProtocolSupport (which is basically everyone now as Viabackwards isn't updated anymore)

Price is not the best but you get a well coded Plugin.

Don't hesitate, purchase the plugin. Its a great plugin that's fairly easy to understand. The author also does his best to reply to questions or concerns in the discussions page.

The plugin isn't working on 1.13 spigot, paper, or bukkit. Even tried java 11 and 12. I've written about the issue in discussion and I will update my rating once I can actually run the plugin.

Overall one of the highest quality plugins I have ever used. Been using it for years and it never disappoints!

The support is abnormally bad you do not even get an answer for his problem with featherboard ... because I do not know why the featherboard smears off with placeholder ....

Incredible plugin that is ALWAYS up to date and ready for the next version. It is virtually impossible to run a Minecraft server without it. So many placeholders, and virtually no bugs.

The truth is that I use the plugin for a long time the only thing that bothers me is that for the 1.13 the table is not complete, why is this? As much as it extends the text, the table is shown cut.

Killstats is a HUGE bug atm. I put in the correct placeholder yet it doesn't pick it up. I use {killstats_kills}

Using it a lot of my network and actualy works like a feather. It's a bit slow when reloading because it's hooked with our server core (Yes you can do that) but once it's loaded it don't even use 10% of our ram memory

Featherboard is a highly configurable scoreboard plugin with the capability of having animated effects.

Whats good about the plugin?

- Animations.

- Config.

- Version compatibility.

- Design of the spigot page.

Whats bad about the plugin?

- The price is ridiculously high.

- REAL Support system not implemented.

- Doesnt directly hook with PlaceholderAPI.

- "Obligates" you to switch to MvdwPlaceholderAPI.

- CPU and RAM Usage is higher than with other FREE scoreboard plugins.

- It still has bugs even after lot of reports and years.

- Dev doesnt look friendly to his customers in general and doesnt seems to accept any suggestion. (Including mine)

- Clickbait. (It doesnt run like a Feather)

★★✰✰✰ 2/5 - Excesive price. Needs better configuration for people who doesnt want animations or "extreme config". (Lacks simplicity)

Overpriced as hell, its nice and it has stuff, but I dont see what makes it worth 20$? Its the most intensive on my server even though its placed as a most effecient plugin? needs work man, its nice, but aint $20 nice

This plugin is great! It was a bit confusing at first, but after I watched a tutorial video I figured things out!

Very Nice plugin ! 100% worth the money, I was nervous about buying it, but it works perfectly! Very simple to use! Loads of Placeholders, I recommend if you are using a Scoreboard plugin, use this! Amazing Plugin!

Good plugin but not really worth the price to be honest. There are plenty of free scoreboards out there.

It costs much though. But still, you did a great job by creating this plugin. And of course your other plugins! Its a MUST BUY.

Very cool scoreboard plugin that allows for a lot of creativity. It is a little confusing a first but easy to get the hang of. The support is good & fast, as it is one person. 10/10 would recommend! A suggestion is to create a Maximvdw Discord Channel so players can help others with max's plugins. This way we can get support faster.

Always the best plugin out there. No way to make it better than more features! Been using this for a long time and never been disappointed!

The new update is awesome, but when I restart my server some of the placeholders will not show, and this is the all error form the console;
ERROR [FeatherBoard] Error in placeholder: {prefixcolor} , so this is -1 start from me..

Listin i love the plugin but i was wondering if u can make is so that Money and stuff it gets up to 1,000 it has the , becuase if u have 1k money it looks like 1000 if u can fix that, would be awesome

By far the best scoreboard plugin. Would recommend to anyone who is looking to grow a server and needs a scoreboard plugin! So easy to config, and a huge convenience for my players on the server since they don't have to type /bal because it's on the scoreboard!

Placeholders keep unloading, specifically, tokenenchant. At first it was just the numerical placeholder (ex: 6,345,123 - but now even the 3.0E7 placeholder unloads too)

Fantastic piece of work. Very feature-rich and extremely customizable. I have written my own scoreboard plugins before and can tell you first hand how much of a pain they can be to work with, but FeatherBoard makes it easy.

I do hope that in the next edition, scoreboards support a "weight" attribute so that if a player has permission for several boards, the board with the highest "weight" is displayed. This would save on having to negate a ton of permissions to allow a player to cycle through different scoreboards.

VERY BED SUPPORT, no answers, no help from author, he ignore message and ticket... plugin have problems with compatibility with others that should be supported...

Causing lag in every single way on a big server (50+ players)
The groupmanager placeholder is terrible it gives alot of lag.
The essentials placeholder is not better. When i unload the plugin i get 10+ tps on my server.

It is a useful plugin with lots of placeholders, but I can't rate it five stars because of few reasons:
1. Freshdesk support is slow. I'm waiting for an answer more than 40 days now.
2. I can't use free ColoredNicknames plugin for placing group prefixes above player heads. Of course, I can use another plugin - AnimatedNicknames, but it's premium.
3. The "whenrange effect" is producing lag spikes. I spent a lot of time to find this reason. Maybe it will be fixed, but I have these issue in v3.23.0.

Coded my own version of a scoreboard plugin, but it kept flickering. Decided to buy Featherboard instead because I didn't want to spend any more time into it, turns out it was the best decision I could've ever made. Very easy integration into my own plugins and buttery smooth!

Purchased this a while ago. I see a bunch of unfair 1 star reviews, figured I'd leave a 5 star one because this has been one of the best resources on Spigot for longer than I can remember.

Had Featherboard for a very long time now. The plugin works great everyone with the 1 star ratings all just have mental disabilities. But the support is very bad which I agree with everyone on since it takes 2 weeks for a response in support tickets. That's a very long time to resolve an issue this plugin is amazing to have animations and a lot of place holders which im blessed about.

But be warned the support isn't Max's top priority.

Broken. errors in console, max has been told countless times the same error by multiple people yet never responds.
Keeps using the same excuse that he is 'studying for tests' mate do you think we are stupid or something. no one has tests or exams that long. its been a year with that excuse. grow up please. If you cant support your plugins then give it to someone else to do.

Stop taking money from us to go and party and support your damn plugin.

He said he needed time for his exams in July. Totally understandable but now a new semester is starting for most of us and there's still no update. Several broken placeholders and the fb stretches out and does all kinds of weird stuff now. When it works right it will randomly reset the config because of the piracy check. For something this expensive, this is a bit frustrating. I can live with the config resets, that's an easy fix. I can't stand the amount of players complaining on this. Will remove review if things get fixed.

Last update not work correctly. The scoreboard is breaking all time. I hope fix soon.

Random blank lines, created a ticket - no response. I'm hoping @clip steps up to the plate in Maxim's absence.

Support requests answering too slow. There are bugs with latest version, also plugin config keep resetting.

Of course this is a unique plugin like no other. People like you is what makes Minecraft modding comunity so great. Thank you.

Seems you have improved the plugin since last time when there were complaints about how terrible support was and CPUs overclocking, even on good proccessors. Other than some minor bugs with it, only because its beta for Spigot 1.12 and exams going on in college, I feel that you can have the 5 stars back for it and know you can study in peace. Next time, make sure not to have it overclock proccessors again ;).

I understand it was a beta build. but since the plugin can't stabilize very well on 1.12 it shouldn't have been released. I love the plugin and how it works but the worst part is when the developer doesn't respond to any contact method. even if he / she is going on holiday they should at least let everyone know so they don't get bad reviews.

Used to love this plugin, so many bugs come up now. Most ridiculous one is random spacing in-between the lines, makes the plugin unbearable to use

Great plugin but config resets is still an issue and very annoying. I own servers across multiple hosts with different datacenters and it happened around the same time.

This works great can't wait to make some boards for my admins players and prestige players and also 1 for pvp! you have done a amazing job setting up this plugin and all dem placeholders make a lot of versatility!
