Commands

Command Description
/m <player> <message> Send a private message
/r <message> Reply to your last private message
/nick <nickname> Set your own nickname
/nick clear Clear your nickname
/nick <player> <nickname> Set another player's nickname (with permission)
/nick clear <player> Clear another player's nickname (with permission)
/realname <player or nickname> View a player's real name from their nickname
/lockdown Lock or unlock the chat
/lockdown staff Restrict chat to staff only
/simplechat reload Reloads the plugin’s config and tab format live
Permissions

simplechat.nick Set your own nickname
simplechat.nick.others Set others' nicknames
simplechat.realname View real names from nicknames
simplechat.color.nickname Use & color codes in nicknames
simplechat.color.message Use & color codes in chat messages
simplechat.lockdown Use /lockdown command
simplechat.lockdown.bypass Bypass lockdown (still chat)
simplechat.staff Chat during staff lockdowns
simplechat.reload Reload the plugin config live
⚙️ Configuration Guide (config.yml)
The configuration is super simple and can be live-reloaded with /simplechat reload.

# Format of messages sent in chat
chat-format: "<prefix>&r <nickname> &6>>&r <message>"

# Enable custom tab list header/footer?
tab-enabled: true

# First line of the tablist (use placeholders!)
tab-header: "&aWelcome to the server <name>"

# Bottom line of the tablist (use \\n for line breaks)
tab-footer: "&7Enjoy your stay!\nTPS: <tps>\nPing: <ping>"

Supported Placeholders:

• <prefix> - from LuckPerms!
  
  
• <suffix> - from LuckPerms!

• <nickname> - your nickname or real name
  
  
• <name> - your real Minecraft name
  
  
• <tps> - live server TPS, color-coded
  
  
• <ping> - your current ping
  

You can use color codes like &a, &6, etc. in all fields.
If you want players to use color codes in nicknames, grant them simplechat.color.nickname.
