It’s a very powerful and useful plugin, but there are only three things I’d really complain about:
1.- The translation system is overly cumbersome and unnecessarily complicated — it would be much better to use a simple .yaml system with the messages to be translated.
2.- It doesn’t have a way to auto-compress coins.
3.- The documentation is a bit confusing. You go to the GitHub wiki, and it redirects you to a different website — which is fine until you reach the “translations” section, where the wiki basically suggests you open the .jar file with an archive manager to extract the translations (which does work, to be fair), but then further down in the configuration file it says that the language keys are in a GitHub link that doesn’t exist anymore because it was changed at some point.
Other than that, don’t get me wrong — it’s a great plugin! It’s super simple, and you can have it up and running in just a few minutes. Please keep it that way and don’t add virtual accounts — it’s perfect as it is in that regard.
This would be great, but I have no idea why there isn’t a deposit or withdraw command. On our server, we use Echo Shards as physical items, but players should be able to deposit them into an account and withdraw them when needed. The reason is that people can’t hold, for example, 1,000 Echo Shards in their inventory, so payments should come from their account balance instead.
Thanks for the review. Banco provides exclusively a physical, item-based economy. It is specifically designed like that to make the experience as close as possible to the way emeralds work in vanilla Minecraft.
As much as I'm open to new ideas, I feel like 'virtual' accounts defeat the purpose of an item-based economy plugin. I can understand why you see this as a limitation rather than a feature, but I'd argue that there are various ways around this: first of all, you can configure additional items with a higher value pretty easily. I'm sure you don't go around carrying 100 pennies in your day-to-day, but you probably do bring one or two dollars with you. Secondly, there's built-in support for ender chests, as you may already know. Lastly, there are some free plugins which add this exact functionality and integrate well with any Vault-compatible economy provider such as Banco.
I'd be happy to discuss this further in our Discord server, which you can find below the resource's title. Just to be clear, I'm not opposed to mixed currency setups as long as they fit within the game!
Version: 1.0.2
This is great, quick and simple, exactly what I needed for my server. I had been looking for something like this for a while
This plugin is amazing, works exactly as intended and has many handy features without being full of bloat. The developer is also super helpful and friendly, I highly recommend. I've tried various physical economy plugins, though this one has proved to be the best of them all!
This plugin is amazing and is ideal for those who want to add their custom coins, I had some problems and the creator did not take even 10 minutes to respond to me, help me and solve my problem
this plugin works beautifully!! It completely works well with my smp server I play with friends!! i wish that it can detect items in a shulker box or bundle in the player inventory or ender chest.
