This plugin uses Stripe. You know what that means? I didn't either until I had already paid for this and ProMenus.
It means that you have to own and operate a website that has clear monetization goals and an about page. This plugin obviously does not provide that and that's not the reason for this review
The reason for the review is because they don't tell you up front that its a requirement for doing business on Stripe. So therefore unless you have a website already ready to go, then you're gonna be fumbling through that (which no support is provided for) as well as tackling the extremely convoluted setup process for the plugin itself.
The wiki is lacking and has nearly no helpful information. Or it does, but its not formatted well, and you have to dig through a jungle of pages to find the documentation you need. Just put a tutorial step by step on a single page... strange way of thinking, I know! Or better yet, go on Fiverr and pay someone to make a video for you showing how to actually use this.
I'm no slouch and I powered through every single step and eventually, after a bunch of back and forth on discord with no true answers, I was able to get a live transaction to go through. Even though the menus take approximately 40 game ticks to update every time something is clicked.
So yes it's a plugin that CAN be useful, but the setup process is not worth the headache.
You NEED to add a disclaimer about the website/store thing with Stripe. This is a barrier to entry for a lot of people, and by not letting the end user know that in ANY step of the process, REALLY makes this LOOK like a money grab (even though you "take no fees ever")
Thanks for the review. We make it fairly clear that you need to use a payment processor for the payments, currently the only supported option is Stripe. I'm not quite sure what you were expecting? You can download the plugin and try it for yourself to experience it, so I don't understand what is a mystery.
You can customize the menu as you wish. Honestly not sure what you're expecting differently here as we do not take any fees, you obviously need a payment processor, if that's not clear i'm not sure what would be.
Edit: Wanted to come back and say we officially support PayPal as a payment gateway as well, hope this helps!
Version: 1.0.0-CS-API
One of the most original systems I've ever seen. I congratulate the developer, I hope this plugin develops further and has more features.
