Hey!
Another update already?! Nothing big, as you could expect from my words. But aside from a quick fix, I implemented basic, but
really important features.
You probably know from me that Marketplace in its current form is really far away from perfection. But, after around a year ago, an important part of it was removed because of the changes: updating! Yeah, updating the addon is only deleting it and reinstalling, but how were the users supposed to know that an update was available, if the only addon version label was... the latest version available shown in the marketplace?
So, I made it much more intuitive. Is this the perfect system? Hell no. It will be completely reworked in the future. But it's so much better now!
Changes
- Instead of a simple version label in Marketplace, where there was only the latest version tag visible, there are now badges that differentiate between a not installed addon, an installed but outdated addon, and an up to date addon.
- There is now an Update button in the Marketplace for addons.
- Upon the startup of the app, it will now check whether any addons have updates available in the Marketplace. That's a really important thing! The addons might get incompatible with newer SkEditor versions, so having the latest version helps mitigate the problems.
Enjoy!
