Greetings, Thank you for your detailed review!

Regarding version support: for the moment, please check the version catalog for older version support. We do not support versions earlier than 1.16 because there is already a placeholderAPI expansion called "player" available.

This plugin was made out of the frustration that the expansion doesn't support 3D biome and uses the spigot API to fetch the biome, so all custom biome listed in the showcase in this page would come up as "PLAINS".
Look out for a version in the near future that incorporates support for all versions from 1.16-1.20 (or possibly 1.21) with a single jar file.
