they dont explain how you can disable the resource pack.
only how to merge it.

people who use itemsadder can take the resource pack and add it to itemsadder yea easily.

but when it comes to RUNNING the resource pack with itemsadder. it wont let you because Magic plugin requires you to have the resource pack or merge with one.
and since itemsadder has add ons. even though you merged it.
it wont allow any of the addons you put inside items adder.

meaning its either take the magic plugin or
dont have a resource pack at all.

Super great, simple, and intuitive magic plugin! I use this with another plugin called runecraft, and the two go together very well, as neither use commands from the perspective of a player. Tons of variety and the spells are all a ton of fun!

Works flawlessly. Plugin has a ton of features from mage robes to over 200 magic spells. The dev is also extremely friendly.

This plugin does as expected, with multiple fun features thrown in as well! I could list what it does well, but that'd take too long. Other than being a bit messy with some unclear wiki pages, there are no complaints. With a helpful discord and wonderful online editor, you can't not pick this magic plugin! Oh and my personal favorite feature are the various plugin hooks such as AureliumSkills or the old MythicMobs compatibility!

One of the absolute best plugins out there- I've been using it on all my servers for almost four years now and the versatility and customizability of it is outstanding! Even as just a drag & drop plugin it works perfectly with a plethora of magical features, but you can use every part of the plugin to create something totally new to your own specifics, it's almost a million plugins in one! The support in discord is amazing as well, not only NathanWolf himself kindly providing help and assistance but a very friendly and helpful community who answer questions and showcase their awesome creations too! Love the direction but me and my friends are confused on how some beginner skills are unable to be used "not enough mana" when we have the more than enough mana count. Also I believe there should be a warning for SP reduction since we struggled to realized that a skill level did not level along with SP, resulting to a limitation to that very spell (for the magic missile it was lvl 3) and need the next class upgrade to begin using.

I have been playing Minecraft since it first came out, and I have been modding it for almost that long.

I've created thousands of worlds over the years.
Made dozens of small servers for friends, and even done some work on a few big ones. Having magic in the world in some way or other (Ars Magica, Thaumcraft, Blood Magic etc.) has always been central to any gameplay experience I've made and to any game I've played.

I've never felt the need to create an account on Spigot (or anywhere else, really) until now. I will probably log out and forget the password in a few minutes, but before I go -

This mod is, in my personal opinion, the greatest mod of all time for Minecraft.

A few of the pros:

- 169 spells. IN THE DEFAULT CONFIGURATION.
- The spells actually do magical things, not just stats and buffs
- No convoluted spellcrafting systems, no unnecessary addons
- Doesn't fill up your crafting tables with 1000 junk blocks you say you're gonna use but never will
- Extremely easy to get your head around in-game, which is excellent for player enjoyment and excellent for development
- 100% configurable. You can EASILY create an entirely unique magic system for your own server. Without prior knowledge.
- Wands can have custom looks (if you even want to use wands)
- Players can get model additions (like wings, claws etc.) for a better roleplay experience (or just the coolness factor (or both(or disable if neither))) (:
- Can convert to a full Harry Potter magic mod in 1 line
- Or a full Avatar: The Last Airbender bending mod. BANGER
- In short, (and because I fear a text limit) by installing this mod you can add magic to your world in exactly the way you've always wanted it to work (and hated other mods for not getting just right). That is because this mod makes magic tick behind the scenes, and if you choose, you can decide exactly how it works.

Cons: Documentation is a little bit scrambled till you get a handle on it, a singular website with a homepage with 100% of the related links would be nice, but I realize why it is like this and I recognize the work it would take to compress the information. I went for a cig to think of more but I smoked 2 and came back with nothing and a cough.

We've changed it up a bit to match our vision for what a "perfect" magic system is, which was insanely easy, and..

We're having a blast, none of us can remember the last time any of us enjoyed a game as much as we enjoy Minecraft with Magic.

I love the plugin so far, it is so amazing! But ever since downloading it everyone is experiencing an XP drop decrease. All XP sources are not giving as much (player XP used for enchanting or anvil). Also trading with villagers doesn't give XP any more

Everythings perfect love this plugin but can't seem to get natural mob spawning right. How do I get magic mobs to spawn naturally in the world? I downloaded Magic Worlds and put it in the worlds file and I'm only having the mobs from the examples file spawn naturally such as the dark wizard, mega spider, polarghast, etc. I edited the examples file and included all the mobs I want yet they won't spawn. Is there another file I have to update?

best plugin ever, has more content than most datapacks, easy to use, super fun.The live demo is so helpful, and just fun in general, definetly should check that out if you arent sure about the plugin.

This is the BEST plugin I have ever installed on Spigot, it has more spells than you can imagine. The wand skins are great, the effects on the spells are also amazing. All the spells are nicely balanced (cooldowns and mana). This mod is also great for survival as you need a good amount of items to craft the wands. Overall I love this plugin. 10/5 if I could. Truly a magnificent plugin, although it is confusing how to start a journey going through the magic plugin the video that the description provides gives us a good start... I recommend this if you're looking for something RPG style or Medieval.

I didn't want to leave a bad review but it's not working on a server that it was added to I sent it to someone to use for there Minecraft sever on 1.16.4 I think and it didn't work

Magic is awesome! It's the most deeply configurable and advanced plugin available on Spigot. Everything can be customized down to the last message.

It really is amazing that Magic is free while being awesome as
* A drop-in setup for handling wands and spells through examples like Bending (Avatar-style gameplay) and War (Guns with their mechanics handled as wands and spells.)
* A customizable, flexible engine to create spells, custom items, wands, mobs, classes, GUIs, special effects, progression systems, and much more.

Nathan is super responsive through the Magic Discord. Bugs get patched up quickly and he is constantly implementing new features.

My favorite example has to be Potter, which is an example config based on the Harry Potter universe. I've worked on my own version of that example for a couple of years now and that has allowed me to work closely with the Magic plugin. It really is a fantastic plugin to do just about anything you can think of.

If you're running any sort of RPG, magic-related server, Magic is your plugin.

Amazing plugin... adds an entire new combat style (plus loads of utility spells) to the game and it feel like it belongs in vanilla. Bug free and loads of customisation you can do

The Magic Plugin is the most advanced and useful plugin for item/spell/ creation I have EVER came across.

With its recent updates of npc / custom mob features which are able to have shops and other gui menus - this plugin is able to do so much and is nearing being a full replacement for many premium plugins that do similar - and works well on bedrock too!

It has so many of its own default spells with rpg style progression systems that you can use to immediately have a server with tons of magic and progression systems - But IMO it shines most where it allows you to use its advanced scripting system to create spells with literally ENDLESS possibilities with what you can accomplish (as long as you're willing to learn the actions and parameters)

A must have if you want to make great custom content, or if you just want to have something easy setup like the potter server setup, which is great on its own.

Plus the DEV is responsive, active, friendly, and talented as hell!

One of the best plugins out there is a bit hard if you want to configure but the effort is worth I. A must-have if you want a fantasy server.

Honestly, this plugin is great. Although it is a bit hard to learn how to use, it is definitely nice plugin, no doubt. The only trouble I have with this plugin is that golems refuse to spawn when I either cast Animate or use a heart of Golem. Other than that I believe this plugin is great. Texture pack is also good too.

I dont know if you remember me but im Frosty (the guy that always asked on discord for help) im still using this plugin to this date and if youre wondering why i dont ask on discord anymore it is because I am a full on pro now! :D If you guys want to know how good the plugin is its so good you can make your own weapons i was on a server and made a Speeder that was even able to shoot! (and of course many other things). This plkugin is so great you can make literally a server out of anything with it.

A very great plugin feature wise, very impressed, however the user accessibility is unbelievably complex. I can appreciate the customization, but not when it is buried in such a mundane and complicated way. The information of how to do what is spread across the official magic website and the github, with multiple pages for everything. You'll end up with at least 4 tabs open going back and forth. Second, the configs themselves feel complex. I understand such a large plugin cannot be with one config, however, if doing something such as disabling crafting recipes has me to type out and add lines to a SPECIFIC config in a SPECIFIC way after having to visit 3 different web pages, and then the plugin not end up working, its upsetting. The sites themselves are scattered and hard to understand at times.

To blatantly put it, the plugin is fantastic on its own but if you want to config or integrate it in any way, good luck. Have a simple set of files with simple "enabled/disabled" options and clarify your information, alongside streamline the config.

Wow , Spent a week learning, and trying things out and I can only say this plugin is near perfect. Its also very impressive its free, for the size of features and how they impact many of the configuration from vanilla minecraft to even biggest others top plugins that already exist out there, it still work flawlessly and integrated with all of em, even some thats not specified.

Minecraft needed that plugin, and I would drop down 20 of the others one I love and use to keep this one alone if it was needed. It does it all anyway if you know how to config it in a good way.

Well, what can I say its an amazing plugin! I am currently trying to learn how create my own custom spells items and mobs in it. I wish there are video tutorials but discord community can be helpful too and the plugin is really well documented! so everyone can understand its basics by reading it.

Tons of customization and features, all well-documented. And its free! There is no official 1.14 version I don't think, but I've tested it on 1.14 and it seems to work fine with no errors.

Well, first of all I have to Thank you, this is an awesome plugin. I have a "little" request. I use "ItemsAdder" and I try to make a custom "wand" sword (this plugins adds items with his own texture) but whan I make it and use the /mgive command, the custom texture lost it and give me a normal sword. There is some possibility you can make the wand conserve the custom textures of other plugins? I figure this is not possible but then I gonna ask to you something.

I'm thinking to set a signs or switches to execute commands as operator to insert the spells, but without save the wand's command for obvious reasons, you guess this gonna work or the powers of the sword gonna be lost on restart? I can't try now because I don't set yet mycommand or a sustitute for serversigns but I'm thinking how can I improvise something :P

Its a good plugin but is it possible if you updated this plugin for 1.8? It's been an while since 1.8 got an update

Love it, but I wish classes would be more clearly and a player then joins server for first time could choose between different classes, each class would have different spells and so on.. good luck

Extremely high quality mod
A little laggy sometimes on under powered servers but it's not really the mods fault it just does a Lot. I would really appreciate a way to turn down the particle effects though as for some spells they can be a bit obtrusive and laggy.
The potential of this mod is almost unlimited though. Learn how to use this mod to its fullest effect and you'll be the coolest server on the block I guarantee.

Been using this plugin since years ago, probably before its 4.6 version and never EVER gave me a single headache. It's compatible with pretty much everything and you can also create literally -anything-. Spells, custom items, custom mobs, the more you read into the wiki the more you realize all the incredible oportunities this offer. The developer is also amazing, he's always willing to help anyone as long as courtesy and respect is present. Really looking foward to keep using this resource for much more time :) 5 stars plugin.

Extremely well made plugin that has an astounding amount of content in it, and has become a key feature of my RPG server. The author is extremely active and friendly, he supports this project better than most paid plugins I've seen!

This should cost a lot of money. The author has put in a lot of code, truly one of the best plugins out there.

Very helpful and active dev who makes changes to the plugin almost daily and tries to respond to everyone he can on discord and an amazing plugin in general with a system to add things relatively easily.

I love this plugin so much, but i have a problem :( the recall spell does absolutely nothing, i set up warps and everything, it just does the effects and thats it... i would like help on this plz.

This is the coolest plug-in that I've seen, The author super responds instantly, I did not even have time to drink tea as he already solved my problem! Definitely 100 points from 5 =)

Very good but it freezes everyclient that login when using AuthMe, im not sure if it is AuthMe or other plugin but the freeze occour right after the 1st login message for at least 3 seconds..

no error nor nothing on console.. just the freeze..

Very good plugin. A must have for server using magic in their gameplay. You can make pretty much what you want, with great effects! There is a plenty of ready to use spells but if you want make your own it's not very difficult and you can inspire you with the existing one.

good plugin but the wiki is very incomplete :( no way to know how to apply certain upgrade paths to custom wands ect ect. wand properties all set as TODO.

I love this plugin! I have one question though. Your plugin autoinstalls a resourcepack, does that mean that your resourcepack will download to the players client and mine wont? Id test it myself but it doesnt work on me because my server only prompts once. Im trying to make a medieval looking server and i would like an answer as soon as possible thanks!

I have only played an hour or so on the demo server, read 1/3 of the WIKI, and watched the video. I'm sold. This isn't just a plugin . It's a completely new game.

Nathan seems to have gone to great lengths to cover every base. Adding elements of admin plugins to the user experience, like with Engineering? Amazing! The depth and creativity here is unbound.

I can confidently say, on the behalf of the community at Rowling's Realm that this is one of the best, most in-depth plugins. It is always up-to-date, the configuration is extensively documented on the wiki, and it creates beautiful spells, wands, and more!

The latest update is what I have been waiting to hear!!! I wasn't sure where development was heading with this and now you have made it very clear. The rpg style direction you are going changes so much about how this plugin can be used. I've always loved how amazing this plugin is, but I've been unable to incorporate it into my server because of how information was stored all in the wand and if you lost your wand you lost all the spells. You had to do things in a round about way to get your spells back on your new wand. With the info being stored with the player instead of the actual wand being the focus for this plugin I can actually start using this! I will get it setup asap and start testing things and leaving feedback for you suggestions on how to improve the experience!

It's a really awesome plugin! I really enjoy using it and am super pleased it's highly customizable.

It's very fun to use and mess around with. I really like that some spells like virus and wolf house, even the super bomb can be undone using the repair spell.

I also really liked how the Developer was able to help me with using Recall!

It's also cool how it can kinda hook right into essentials and other plugins like worldguard and work side by side, creating recalls and blocking / allowing spells.

This is by far one of the best plugins you will ever find out there. Are you creating a RPG server? use this. Custom aesthetic items or just with some abilities? this is for you. Execute commands that are external to this plugin? (let's say, disguising a player) It can manage it.

It gives you a lot of customization and doesn't require any coding skills, you can make spells and other stuff just by looking at the examples. Yes, it may be hard at the beginning with nearly 0 coding experience but once you manage to understand it, it's totally worth it and seriously, it's not that hard.

The dev also offers constant support to any questions and keeps the plugin constantly updated, he's super friendly, just don't disrespect him bro. The only downsides or cons that I can think about is that there are pretty much no tutorials and some advanced things (Like using spells that include Sin and Cos variables) may be quite overwhelming and if you're running a server with low power/RAM/etc, some spells could feel laggy, you can tweak them very easily and remove some effects tho.

I totally recommend it and I hope it stays for a long time with more improments (I would LOVE to see it reading and using .midi and .nbs files, so music playing would be a thing!)

(The following is "kinda" irrelevant to the review) As a personal note (and trying not to get too much into details), I would also like to recognize that having experienced so many things with this over the years, made me realize how difficult and worthy a career is and how proud you should feel for completing one. Thanks Nathan :)

Very good plugin, fun to play through with a friend. I had a hard time finding information on this plugin(crafting, how to configure?). The Automata are a good addition.

I think this is a brilliant plugin, but I don't know how to craft all of these things.
The elmakers site is down for me.
I will change it to 5 star once I will get to know how to craft everything.
Also, Get this to 1.11.2 please ASAP!

Magic is probably one of the best plugins out there. Sure, the features are outstanding, but Nathan gives the greatest support of all time. I can't thank him enough for continuously helping me whenever I screw up. I would definitely recommend this plugin :)

This plugin is insanly good! It is always fun and gets frequently updated!!!! Every Update brings tons of features with it and I really love this plugin. I would say, it is the best plugin for spigot! Really looking forward for v. 7.0 ;D (I love the new cars and more would always be appreciated...)

Hey, realy good Plugin again, but i got a Problem:
Magic Wands are often bug away...
So for Example you have your wand in your inventory, then you leave the Server and when you connect again the wand is no more in your inventory... For me and my Server-Team its take a lot of time to restore the wands... I hope, that you will fix it soon, thankyou...

9/10. Only bug is I cannot change the page in the inventory. I am in right click mode with the wolf wand and I have 190 spells about, but click outside the box does not work. ty!

Can you make a crafting guide, also players start earning sp over time and also the magicworlds plugin isnt working for me, when I use phase it doesnt take me there.

The only problem I have found is that I can no longer upgrade the wands... it says in my logs that upgrading is enabled but I go up to an enchant table and I just cant :/

I feel like I've rated dozens of plugins, and I gotta say, I wish there was an /10 or /100 option, because this plugin and its author really do go that far.

I've more plugins than I know what to do with.

Plugins more vital to my server, overall, than Magic.

Yet none of them *really* deserve a full 10/10, a full 5/5. some come VERY close. Like MythicMobs. that plugin basically allows me to make the entire RPG aspect of my server possible. without that plugin, my server would probably not be made.

But alas, that plugin has plenty of glitches, and sometimes things just don't work for some reason. not often, but it happens....



Magic, on the other hand... well, this plugin is just too great. It has oodles and oodles of customization, for every little tweak and setting an admin could want, It has a darn PLETHORA of spells and "ranking-up" for players to do and experement with....

and beyond that, It even has full integration with nearly every other big RPG plugin known to man!!!!

and beyond THAT the developer was just amazing!

I was having trouble getting this plugin to *do a thing* with another plugin. I thought it was a long shot, so I asked in the discussion to see if anyone else might know how to *do that thing*. not only did the dev themselves respond, but quickly, kindly, and fully.

--- to a question I had about his plugin working with someone elses. I am speechless.

Hey, this is an Amazing Plugin! But there is 1 little bug:
When a Player Join the Server, then they see the wooden hoe at first. Then there is a 10 seconds lag, where they can't do anything. Then all is correct and good. My Question is, if you can Fix it?

Dope plugin! My wand keeps duping in my inventory i have no idea how! It might be cuz it is conflicting with another plugin like inventory scroll, but im not sure =( also is there a way to make npc's fight with magic and Sell wands and spells?

Amazing plugin. :) The spells work really well and adds a lot of depth and character to the server. Keep it up. (If you have time to spare, I asked for some tips regarding a feature that I would like to have on my server in the discussions page)

If I put the cast permission, users can use / cast
If a user places / cast will ask you to use a wand, the question is that you can not access that command but use it at the same time
