idk wtf happened to this plugin but the author got banned from the Mythic community, or so I was told on the mythicmobs forum, for "selling user's material as though it were his own".

Anyway, this resulted in mpets (and the newer advancedpets) support for mythicmobs being dropped, which is a huge shame since it was the only alternative to having 3D models with mythicmobs without the need for a resourcepack.

Big fail imo. Maybe the author can clarify in an answer?

Note: I wouldn't have left a review, and would have asked directly if the discord wasn't so shut up for only AdvancedPets purchases, which I currently do not own, nor will own if there's no support for mythicmobs.

For a premium plugin, it's just not good enough. It says it supports 1.20.2 but there is major spam when loading it (from fresh too) and the issues on github seem to get ignored / go extended periods of time without being addressed.

New owner/s ruined this resource. Update ruined majority of my purchased resources from their own site and then have purposely been ignoring all my support requests since. Consider your other options.

Severely underwhelming. The plugin transferred ownership and is now owned by AdvancedPlugins, and, like AdvancedEnchantments, was updated to remove 1.8-1.12.2 support rendering it useless for stuff like lobby servers. The plugin itself is cool I guess but the recent update forces you to use the model format of their other plugin, AdvancedPets. The pets included are okay but if you want more you need to open your wallet ofcourse and buy "premium" pets off their market.

This use to be a really quality plugin even if the mobs themselves could sometimes be glitchy. Sadly, it appears that it has been superseded by other custom mob plugins by the same dev. Despite this, Mpets hasn't been discontinued as it is clearly still for sale. There is however, really limited to no interest from the dev team in terms of bug fixing / addressing issues. One bug that has been reported and is quite critical has been in there since July. I would not recommend to buy mpets if you do not own it already.

I own this plugin for very long time. trying to reuse it again and this plugin has been totally breaking.
Friend who worked for the devs hired java developer did tell me it's plugin full of bugs and they just got tired and quit. not recommended plugin- sorry since advanceplugins took over i cant recommend this anymore

Thanks for the bug fix! Unfortunately there are still serious bugs with the animals: 1. The animals beat the player and can kill him! 2. My head is not in the MiniMe animal. I do not recommend buying until it is fixed the programmer has half abandoned the plugin, if he fixes the plugin I will change my review.

The walking animation are hilariously bad, there's not 90+ free pets to downland, more like 7 and the rest of them are just cash grabs costing even more money when they should be already added into the paid plugin.

Not sure about the last review but MiniaturePets has been amazing, I actually use them in combination with my RPG plugin to allow them to be mobs, hostile, neutral etc.. performance is also great have over 100 mpets in a 600x600 area server stays at 20tps at all times. All in all 10/10 plugin if you know what you are doing with it! Thanks again MPets

I'm waiting support for 8 days to solve MySQL problems in the plugin. So unfortunately support is not fast enough. I provided every single detail to fix db issues but nobody try to understand it or try to solve the issue. MySQL is not working at all so you shouldn't buy the plugin If you want to use the remote database for pets. Also packet based pets would be nice because pet armor stands are freezing on the server crash. Plugin has several options to delete the bugged armor stands. Not best way but it's working. Also you can't rename pets except alphanumerical characters. So localization is not enough. Except these things, plugin looks fine.

This is a fun plugin to add whimsy and collection to your server. The fact that it doesn't require resource packs for most pets is great for our server. I am excited for the relaunch of the marketplace as there are so many pets to chose from.

It is very good for lobbies as it has no skills or anything special for pvp or very good for survival unless you just want to ride without any skill.

No doubt this is an amazing plugin, however with more servers being bedrock compatible it opens up a few loopholes with visibility and how they look on the bedrock client. Would be great if these pets could be invisible for the bedrock client.

I am sure this is the best animal plugin.
But the only downside is that the wiki you have very little information. Resources should be more. such as doing custom-model-data You didn't say where to put it. or how to make a sample But now I can because I was looking at the discord and asked this people I am convinced that If you manage the wiki better, this won't be a problem. I'm sorry I can only be agree with OneHitX below, I tried support via Discord and was terrible, two people and no one answered with clear answer that would solve my problem. It sounded like they were telling me "I don't know" "I'm not sure". Really a big waste of time and energy they should just not answering if they don't know if the issues is from mpet plugin paper or my own server configuration even after I bring my console error as asked.

Honestly I would also like a refund if I still not able to load the plugin as it should do.

Great work by a great developer. Doing his best to keep the plugin going and alive.

Plugin works well, has many cute pets available on the their webpage, many of which are free and some which are paid in addition to this plugin. The devs are do work on the plugin but had to redo alot of code due to underlying changes by mojang with 1.17, which is why this update took a little more time to come out. The review by Asmith0690 saying "its been *months* before we got a 1.17 update" is blatantly overstating, its been out merely for 22 days.

The plugin itself works great, but it appears to lack development. For a premium plugin with a team behind it, you would expect an update to the latest version fairly quickly, however that is just not the case.

We all understand that no one can see the future and what is to come. But what you can do is have some transparency. Currently, all we get is Discord announcements informing us that a 1.17 compatible version is coming but it's been months with nothing but the same statements. Testing and working on it.

With our network, pets are a pretty big thing and the players love it. We are grateful for the plugin, but we want to update to 1.17 and this is just delaying the process. This is the last plugin we are waiting on before the kick to 1.17 and our players want to know why we are still waiting.

Please just have some transparency with your customers. Thanks for your hard work and for providing one of the best pet plugins on the market.

This plugin has clearly been abandoned. 1.17 has been out for almost 2 months and no update is in sight for this plugin. On their Discord, they also promised that a 1.17 build would be out for this plugin by July 1st latest.

Today marks the 20th of July and no 1.17 support is in sight.

If you're running a 1.17+ server, don't buy this plugin as it will not work for you.

I am literally in awe at the prices of the pet's for sale on this plugins marketplace. Let me be very clear, if you are independently wealthy then this plugin is amazing - 5 out of 5 - but be sure if you do not spend anymore than to simply buy the plugin w/o addons it is there the 1/5 stars comes in. Another, mild complaint, because I have not used their marketplace in years, my account has apparently been deleted along with my purchases from years ago (when prices were much more reasonable), so I could not even download those anymore. This plugin actually have a very good potential. Player love to see such unusual pets that are definitely better than vanilla mobs pet. Having a website to buy custom models is definitely great too !

But I am encountering a serious issue related to the plugin randomly "crashing" then being unable to load pets. It basically makes the plugin unusable on my server. I opened a ticket but I am still waiting for an answer...

I had a small issue with the plugin which didn't effect its use at all and the staff were so helpful in working through it with me, even though the fault was actually my server and not the plugin itself.

I bought the plugin yesterday, I find it very good but I won't activate to be able to climb on pets because it makes it invincible against zombies for example in the survival world because too high they can't touch us.
I don't activate the disguises either, too bad! because it removes the nickname and the life of the players above their head and also I couldn't PVP between players by being in disguise, the fight against mobs works it. Would it be possible to add an option in config to activate the nickname and the life of the players when they are in disguise? and also see if PVP can work while being in disguise if you have the nickname and life visible of course.

Serait il possible d'ajouter une option dans config pour activer le pseudo et la vie des joueurs quand ont est déguisé ? et aussi voir si le PVP peut fonctionner en étant déguiser si l'on a le pseudo et la vie visible bien sur.

I bought this Plugin awhile and must say, it has the least support I've seen from any of the Premium Plugins I've purchased. This was also one of the more expensive Plugins, and surprisingly offers the least amount of support.

I asked for Support about an issue, a Dev responded and told me to make a Ticket with the issue. I made a Ticket, then the Developer told me they don't offer support with that issue. I was very annoyed because I've had this 1 issue with this Plugin for 2 months making it very unreliable on my server.

The documentation on how to make a custom Pet is also very poor. The information they do provide isn't the best and certainly doesn't make it easy to understand.

Really regret purchasing this Plugin, but I guess you live and learn.

really enjoy the plugin, thought the market place is way to expensive, so I recommend you lose some time to design your owns mobs, the support is great so dont be afraid to ask questions

New update has option "HideIfNoPerms" which if set to true should hide the pets the player has no perms to. However, it just hides all the pets. Setting it to false makes it so people can see only the pets they have perms to

Please add support for 1.15. I know it may be hard, but it's time for an upgrade.

Miniature Pets is a fun way to get your community to engage and socialize and have something neat to play with in your Minecraft servers. Not only great for span hubs and lobbies, but jut terrific for all game modes.

Mini pets everywhere cause why not! Awesome plugin.

Some features like riding pets error on 1.9 and are unusable. There are compatibility issues with PlotSquared's roads. Pets are despawned from the player upon transferring worlds, which makes it feel extremely frustrating to use for the player on any server other than survival. I've had a few instances where the plugin has simply broken and left the armor stand remnants of pets as well. All because the plugin obviously hasn't been tested for 1.9 like it says at the top of this page.

Those things give the plugin 3 stars for me (since the pets and their animations all work and look nice), but the reason I give it 2 is because of their support on GitHub. Most tickets take upwards of a month to get a response from them, and mine is currently sitting at two weeks. This would not be a problem if I hadn't paid for the resource, however, I'd expect at least some sort of activity from one of the developers when issues arise within their plugin, especially when there are THREE devs assigned to it.

Overall, the plugin is pretty nice, just these few issues and the lack of communication with the developers ruins it for me.

Minature pets is an awesome little plugin . You can build your own custom pets with custom teextures for your players . Once again : I say it is awesome . Well worth the little bit of money it cost .

This plugin works smooth as butter for me. There are lots of awesome custom pets to get if you do some searching. I have a giraffe on my server, for instance. The plugin is really good and well made! - But don't expect to receive support from the developer. He is almost inactive. Weeks of waiting for two issues and still waiting a response... I received just an automatic answer. Bad support! I will change the review when he'll fix the bug I send in the designed area.

This is a great plugin for admins who want to add pets, as well as custom pets to their game. What is also nice is that you can create your own pets as well! ANOTHER amazing feature is each pet has its own permission, so you can earn money for your server while staying EULA compliant. The plugin does EXACTLY what is ADVERTIZED. Not sure why people are getting upset about MythicMob support, as that is nowhere in the Miniature Pets page, that is just people wanting more than what they paid for. Devs are nice, responded to my discord questions, and the community helped me out too. So all in all, if you are looking to add pets to your server, as well as making your own, this plugin does it all. 20/10 Would recommend.

WORKING 1.13 :D still an awesome plugin, Happy they are still taking the massive amount of time out of their life to update the plugin

Pets left behind quite often when world restarts OR when user teleports between Multiverse worlds. Leaves behind an armor stand that you can remove using kill @e armor stand. But its a huge pain when you have many players on your server. If the pets being left behind in the world was fixed I'd probably give this 5 stars. I see multiple other users having these issues so I know its not just me. Just be warned before hand that you're going to have to be cleaning up broken pets quite frequently.

Not usable. Far too many issues right off the bat, MySQL isn't functional unfortunately. Guess I'll have to revisit this in the future.

This plugin is great, however if your server can't handle the crazy amounts of lag that this plugin causes, or if you are looking for a plugin that has devs who reply to issues and actively update their plugin, this plugin isn't for you.

Can't recommend in it's current state, single handedly kills my servers TPS when I spawn any pets.

Good plugin and my players are happy, but the support isn't very good at this time, I hope it changes soon.

Good plugin but there is further improvement like fixing bugs more frequently.
Color code does not works for example it shows "&cYou are not disguise"

Good plugin, How ever... Many bugs, Especially in the lang. Most color codes dont work in the english and reload times can be super slow. I also dont like the fact that the pet names / lore are not editable. Also the GUI is alot to edit if you are not already familiar with plugins such as delux menus which I will most likely make a pet menu out of and then just have it register the commands with custom messages. Would like to see some bug fixes.

Very good plugin, I love the cute lil buddies! And the plugin doesn't lag my server too much, But that might be the 12GB of ram talking.

The Plugin itself is pretty darn good but the documentation NEEDS to be UPDATED and the website has been offline for over a month.. This is getting ridiculous, it DOES NOT take that long to fix a website.

The plugin gets updated almost every three months with bug fixes. The developer is also quite busy and there is no estimate time when the bug fixes will be done and when it will be out of BETA and available on newer versions of minecraft.
Support *
Troubleshoot on plugin version 1.4+ only has 5 troubleshoot selections. Discord support - a lot of people dont get responses. Responses arent personalized, more generalized to everyone. NOTE: Support only given for minecraft version 1.11. I didnt try the 3 other methods of support.

Overall ***
This plugin is amazing. Honestly. Once it is out of BETA i actually think that 12$ is too little to charge for it. A lot of hard work has gone into this plugin. If you plan on keeping your server on 1.11 or older i'd suggest buying this plugin, but as they say on their trouble shoot page "USE AT YOUR OWN RISK" it is in beta and it will have a lot of bugs. It has a nice community going for it where you can even trade pets with other server owners.

My suggestions:
Updating the spigot page is really important and it will save so much time for people who have questions so that they dont have to contact support.
Updating the troubleshoot with more FAQ will also reduce the amount of questions buyers have.
Maybe have a page on the discord community that can only be read that shows the FAQ or Announcements.

The best Plugin! It can be best in my server. I hope it will more mob. And I think it so hard to create owns mob, but it so good plugin.

The best part about this plugin is how well the pets actually work or how cool they are, it's the fact that the developer has a community built around them with others making submissions of their creations and the ability to make whatever you would like. Everyone is so friendly, I would highly recommend this plugin for any type of server, even some of my hard core faction players were wowed by this plugin.

This would have to be the best Pets plugin I have ever seen, well worth the money. I love the fat that you can create your own pete and put them on buycraft.

Amazing plugin on it's own, brought to a new level with the addition of outstanding support by the dev team. Open communication and easy to get new features added :)

This is probably one of the most fun plugins I've used and it's support for a community to add onto it is amazing. $12.00 may seem a bit high but it's well worth it and you can easily make your money back.

This is one of the coolest plugins I've seen. Love the custom ability to make pets as well as the ones already made to download. Definitely worth the money.

I love this plugin, It's well made and can be used for some amazing Eula pets, The only drawback is it's not compatible with bukkit. I'm really, really sorry about my old review I didn't mean to do that I kind of used this plugin in Bukkit, and it wasn't working so I was disappointed but I then changed to spigot and It worked wonderfully! Again, I am relly sorry for the review that I made. It was a honest mistake.

Best pet plugin out there! Trevor, the dev, is very helpful and active in their skype group chat. You get support when you need it

@Sackboiii and @abraham7 are people who trash threads. You can obviously tell by looking at their recent reviews that they have done. The MiniaturePets Team tries to remove 1 star reviews as it affects MiniaturePets in total. They are not forcing you to remove the 1 star review, they are asking you to remove the 1 star review and they will try to solve your problem.

Plugin is too buggy and never got fixed. I think they don't care about the plugin anymore. Jk. Trev said I must rate 5 to blame him for bugs still :P

I can`t really explain how much I love this plugin. Its super duper wuper fun! And best of all it contains all the futures you want. And you should not be affraid of that the plugin won't work, because if it doesn't work you can easily join the skype group or discord chat and get support there!

The skype chat has over 30 persons with experience with helping with errors and etc. So you shouldn`t be worried.

Also the plugin supports 1.8.8-1.11, thats really great!

But best of all is that the main developer is a dev that care about their buyers and help them with all issues. The plugin means a lot to him and he have spend so much time developing this, epecially the way to make your OWN pets.

If you wan't more buyers on your server this is the BEST eula compatible perk on all time. And when you install this you will be one of the professional servers like mine :P

Easy answer, because it contains so much futures and you can make your own pets. Really this plugin isn't expensive. And think about another dev creating something like this wouldn't be the same.

This man has thought and done research about this event by him self. Its only 5 servers in the minecraft world that has something like this: Hypixel, Hive and maybe 3 other. But this plugin can let you DO THE SAME!

Very awesome plugin, day one of it being in my server I have already sold a bundle pack for $10, this plugin pays itself back so fast you'll end with more money then you started. This plugin works amazingly and when I PMed the developer he responded in less then a minute each time. This is the best pet plugin out there. I have almost all my players and all my staff at one spot messing around with it, and only one of them has permissions for it!

What more can I ask for?

When I first bought this plugin, I saw it had potential to partner with another plugin that could give limitless possibilities of customizing the look of a mob and having them fight you (Aka MythicMobs with MinaiaturePets).

This plugin is wicked, not only that but the active developers who make this plugin and are updating with new features over skype suggestions as we speak are just amazing. They brought my initial idea into reality. I want just say THANK YOU SO MUCH for doing this!

I suggested an idea for animations to allow MPets to handle moveable animation, so its not just rotation based <3. They said they're working on it, and I look forward to seeing it released soon. With MPets the only limitations of the plugin is at the fault of the user creating the pets. Only a lack of creativity can stop you from making beautiful custom pets and now mobs.

With this plugin, servers have the ability to truly stand out and make themselves unique by offering custom pets unique to their server, and using pets found on the plugin's site. It truly is just a miracle that this plugin has advanced so far from when I first saw it and immediately bought.

Expensive plugin? For the capabilities that this plugin has to offer, it is nowhere near its "retail price". This product should really be at a higher price, and frankly I'd be willing to pay for it at a higher price. If you can't afford ~$17 to afford such a high quality, creative plugin such as MiniaturePets, I don't know why you're even trying to run a server to be honest.

Can't complain about anything really. I can only look forward to seeing more features released as it develops. The developers and configurators are so friendly over skype, helping new users to this plugin to learn the gists of how to use it. I praise this plugin, and stamp it with my approval.

Now, for indepth review:
Plugin premises: What MPet promises, is what MPet give. I have tried every single features it have and it works. My players on the server are excited of how cute the pets are.

Compatibility: So far I have tried MPet in spigot 1.94, paperSpigot 1.9.4, spigot 1.10.2, and paperSpigot 1.10.2. Only once error happen when I update mpet (after months I hasn't update it) and it require the config to be deleted and remake.

Useability: MPet is easy to use, you just type /mpet open and all functions is there. For admin, it probably feel tedious to download the pets and put them into server, but it is providing maximum control of what kind of pets you want.

Consumer service: Now this is the best part of MPet, the developer answers in 1x24h, actually, it seems that they do answer in less than 3 hours (unless they are sleeping of course). During a long troubleshooting of MM-MPet integration, the developer not even once showing impatience to my 'nagging'.

Wonderful plugin. The support from the Author and Developer is amazing. This is definitely the best pet plugin out there. Thanks to the creators.
