Hi everyone! Sorry it's been so long since I've updated, but here we are with some of your more requested features/fixes. You can keep an eye on my progress and what I'm planning doing next on HorseOverhaul's github
milestone page. Also, you can see the other things that I want to do but are unscheduled, and create your own requests on the
issue tracker. Here are the changes:
- Added missing info to /horse own about how to transfer ownership
- Re-wrote the breeding algorithm:
- fixed a bug where you could get stats greater than what's possible in the base game by using golden apples
- the maximum value you can get of a particular stat is now affected by the difference between the two parents' values for that stat. The larger the difference, the more the maximum potential gets nerfed.
- golden apples no longer directly improve the outcome of your breed, but instead strictly prevent you from getting a stat lower than the mimimum between the two parents.
- sped up the improvement rate when your horses are of lower stats and slowed it down for higher stats
- Please let me know if you have any feedback for the algorithm!
- Stat nerfing now also applies to: donkeys, mules, llamas, skeleton horses, trader llamas, and zombie horses. Breeding and ownership support for these mob types will be coming in version 1.3.0
- Decided to not add the whistle by name feature. May come in a future update but as of now I have no plans of adding it
