This is the first update of the ForceConnect project and hopefully more should come soon.

Sadly, it has been discovered that this plugin was previously not compatible with Java 11. Our development team codes in Java 8 which was previously the latest supported version for Minecraft but this has since changed to Java 11. You can see the steps we've taken in the Developer Notes below.

This issue was reported by @Glazikan who has my thanks for letting us know!

This plugin now has full support for Java 11.

• Added in-built 'unit tests' to verify that our first stage encryption is maintained to a high standard.
• Restricted the failsafe option in the Spigot plugin so that the failsafe is always active if a public key is detected. Previously, disabling the failsafe meant that even if you had a valid public key, the system was not properly rejecting connections.

Developer Notes
For those of you who know development terms, the issue causing Java 11 to throw errors was that we implemented JaxB to convert bytes to hexadecimal characters. In Java 11, JaxB was completely removed so our plugin threw class not found exceptions.

We will ensure that, in future, our plugin will be tested against both Java 8 and Java 11 to avoid this happening again.
