I need 1 21 4!!!!! I can't use this plugin on my minecraft server because its not updated!!!

The Plugin is perfect and I have no complaints about it, however I have noticed that it has some conflicts with Heads generated in holograms of other plugins, such as in this error: https://mclo.gs/7Sb80KF

I strongly recommend using it, it is simply very good and this error, although inconvenient, does not affect in any way the performance of the plugin and/or other plugins that use it as a dependency.

ONE ISSUE, though. /dh l insert does not seem to work properly. When first executing the command, the new line appears where it should. But upon moving away and coming back for the holo to reload, whatever line I inserted overlaps the original (so the original never got pushed down). Hopefully this can be fixed!

Hey! Great plugin. I'd like to suggest a feature that would allow players to set their own holographic profile. It would have 1 line as their username, 1 line as their head, 3-4 lines for a short bio, and anyone can look up anyone else by doing /pf <playername> and have that player's hologram profile show in front of them.

I was able to easily import all holograms from the abandoned plugin "Holographic Displays" with one easy command.
Less than a minute to get 100+ holograms back, Defiantly recommend switching to this!

Yes, people use commands to configure. It's more difficult to go to the hologram file, edit it and then doing /dh reload than doing "/dh add/set/edit hologram". If you want to configure holograms from the file manager, feel free to do so by going to plugins/DecentHolograms/holograms/yourhologram.yml. Also, HolographicDisplays is unmantained and it is far away from the things DecentHolograms has.

Excellent plugin, it's simple to use and very easy to remember.
Please add support for 1.21, I know that this is a new version and too early to add support for it, but take your time.

This is an advanced plugin, bugs aside, and I hope the author will consider upgrading to 1.21 first.

Ignore the below review below this, N1kollas's. The config says not to modify, probably out of most people's best interest. However, if you know what you're doing, you can modify from a hologram file just fine. As for the height, there's values inside a hologram's yml file, you just need to not be a doofus and know what to exactly edit.

Everything good, but PlaceholderAPI placeholders doesnt reload, like, the RealMines placeholders doesnt reload, it says everytime 1620/1620 blocks or Second until restart: 300, and it doesnt changes

This is the worst plugin I've ever seen in my life. I don't know what was thought while making it, but you can't even color the text from the config. Line height also does not work very bad do not download

Decent-Holograms is a great drop-in replacement for holographic displays.
I'm currently using Decent-Holograms on my
Paper (git-Paper-81)(1.20.1) Server and everything works as expected.

I own a fairly decent sized Minecraft server easily 100+ concurrent users online at any given time. I just wanted to take the time and say Valatic, my server uses this plugin on a regular basis and it is really and I would recommend it to anyone! Everything works and I am yet to have crash issues or any bugs! Very configurable!

Wow. since HD is not updated I was looking for replacement. Not that this plugin is great but I was able to convert holograms from HD. I got my holograms back instantly. All in right place, no errors. Great plugin!

Really great plugin, I just love it! But you know that in version 1.20 they added block_displays and item_displays, which added a lot of new features.

Amazing Holographic Displays alternative, I love everything, so much features and easy to use. My only dislike is the way you make the holograms in the file. example:

you have to put "content" after every line which is kind of annoying. unlike other plugins that just require a - 'text'

I was one of the first to download this plugin and it has always been useful to me. The only thing that would change would be that if you don't have actions like "NEXT_PAGE" activated, in the armorstand "market" is assigned to true.

This plugin is amazing! It made my server look much better, along with helping me make sections that players can understand (because of the holograms).

Terrible Support, Plugin works fine. If these guys would get their finger out of their behind and stop acting like fools to the people who are downloading their free plugin, they would get a better rating from me. You can find many other plugins that do the same exact thing that will give you much better support and actually fix your errors without having to go through some arduous process simply for them to not respond.

Still my go-to recommendation when people come to me constant issues with HD. There is essentially 0 reason to use HD today, as this plugin is better in every way.

Good support for 1.19.4 unlike Holographic Displays. Was able to easy convert from HD using a simple convert command: https://wiki.decentholograms.eu/general/compatibility

Honestly, don't even need to do a review because so many other people already have, however, i know it's feedback like this that keeps the developers motivated! It's one of the best hologram plugins. I had to stop using the old most famous one do to it being outdated, I haven't turned back again. It work flawlessely with lots of other options too!

Works out of the box and has robust customization. After downloading it only took me a few minutes to get some fantastic looking holograms set up in my spawn area. Would definitely recommend this resource to any server owners looking for a standalone Hologram.

TERRIBLE PLUGIN! armor stands have NO MARKER TAG and the discord support IS ATROCIOUS!! They are all HORRIBLY RUDE. DO NOT DOWNLOAD. DOWNLOAD Holographic Displays INSTEAD because this plugin is NOT GOOD.

Works great and it has a plugin config convert which is nice but all the holograms load in too low for some reason, and you can't right click if you're standing on top of the hologram or if where you're right clicking has a hologram, I'm not sure why the armor stands don't have the marker tag as that would fix that issue. But otherwise it's a fairly decent plugin.

Unnecessarily rude in Discord. Read the wiki, didn't understand one thing not clearly covered, asked a simple question including what I tried, was told "Next time read the wiki"

Best hologram plugin. End of story, while holographic displays has existed for years this is a clear and simply just better replacement for it in all aspects. While the conversion may offset a few holograms, it's worth the customization, performance boost, and just general awesomeness of this plugin. Surprised it was a free resource, since it's as good as a $15 paid one. I hope to support the devs in their future premium plugins as they may release them

Honestly 100x Better then holographic Displays, active updates, great configuration. Instead of one giant Holograms file, each hologram gets its own config. This is SO much better and easier to config and create holograms. With alot more versatility!

Decent Holograms is a great alterative Holographic Displays and GHolo. It required no dependencies has a ton of a features and only weighs 400kb and a lot more freedom if you are willing to learn how to use it. Decent Holograms is also open source if you wish to contribute or change a feature you do not like. Definitely a recommended plugin. Well done d0by, and LixCisCZ.

There is an API, but no proper documentation.
Unnecessary dependencies (for example HeadDatabase, you can implement this yourself (get a head by nickname or texture)).
Otherwise, the plugin is good.

Love the native placeholder API support, makes things a lot simpler. No issues with it so far.

The plugin is good, but has an obvious lack for displaying stuff such as a ranking (or anything else) in a simple manner.

I'm sure there's a solution for this, like hooking to their API, but on consulting on their discord server, I was repeatedly ignored, treated like what I was suggesting was something ridiculous, and pointed wrongly towards the use of Placeholders, which do not circunvent this shortcome.

Dog shit support for simple queries basically, but I guess no one's paying them for this, so it's fine. 2 stars.

Read more: Before I accidentally found this plugin, I was using Holographic Displays. Why I was looking for a new one? I needed a feature to display different holograms for different group resolutions. And guess what? DecentHolograms has it! And also a lot of other handy things, which in other plugins had to be assembled bit by bit. Moreover, you can make clickable buttons on holograms, create pages of labels, set custom display radius and... there are loads of features.

And there's a transfer from Holographic Displays, so... the transition will be almost painless (you'll need to fix PAPI if you're using them)

Just download and use it! It's free and it's even more fun than the one you have now!

I really like this plugin. It pretty ok docs, but I really like the PAPI support and the quick updates.

I wanted to like this Plugin and Dev but..
I found very big bug where if you set different Display Distance on Holograms it very often dissapear completely until you rejoin/reload server.. Its huge bug and making that feature unusable. Also all others holograms sometimes dissapear for 2-3 seconds and its also annoying.
Team said plugin using packets and not armor stands but if you go to gm 3 (spectator mode) you can clearly see armor stands but its not any issue if there is no bugs above which makes this plugin useless.
I asked tor support on Discord in support and bugs channel. After more than 2 days i get ignored for some reason while Teams answers others questions. I spent whole day to convert my animations and everything from HD displays for nothing.. Im forced to switch back to HD displays.. Lack of support is very big red flag.. If you make public pluzin then fix bugs and answer important reports!
This team is just terrible and i dont recommend to anyone to spend their valuable time with this Team!!

Woah, I'm pretty impressed by this plugin! In the beginning, I was like: just another hologram plugin that is probably bad and full of bugs, but I was wrong. There aren't any bugs or serious problems - it does its job flawlessly.

The plugin is stable, and it has many features like - RGB Support, Animations, Different Types of Lines, Permission-Based Lines or Holograms, and many, many more... Also, it's packet-based, and it won't affect the performance of your server.

Overall, a pretty good modern hologram solution, unlike other plugins.

Just made the switch from HolographicDisplays 3 to this plugin, after hours of trying to make the promised placeholders work to no avail. With this plugin, it seems PlaceholderAPI has been implemented wonderfully, and placeholders have been a breeze. This plugin is the solution to the placeholder nightmare and I can't recommend it enough. However, I need help making it so the lines of a hologram are all aligned to one side instead of center. I tried /dh allign and it didn't work maybe im missing something.

Just one question, could you add a permission for the standard /dh command.
I don't like it between the recommended commands for my players without admin permissions.

OMG! HD was not supporting 1.18 fully and the dev version with 1.18 support was super-lagging my system per the /timings report. I removed HD and install DH and typed /dh convert HolographicDisplays and in seconds, all my old holos were back! AWESOME!

As someone using HD for years and years, this is a much needed breath of fresh air. There is so many missing features in HD but no good alternatives until this. Thank you for making migrating so easy

Sorry filoghost, but this plugin is the HolographicDisplays killer. It offers much more features and updates.

I have now tried a few placeholders in the holo-text. Unfortunately, neither bungee, server, vault nor essentials placeholder can be used. The player placeholders such as {player} can be used. Unfortunately, I didn't get a further answer to a request, so only 1 star for a good plugin.

Fantastic holograms plugin! There's a ton of useful features to make a hologram in basically any way you could imagine it. Performance is great even with a ton of holograms due to the packet based approach (you should mention this in the description!). Quality contribution to the open source, free resource community.
