We've all had to grind in Minecraft at some point. While some may enjoy the grind, other's would prefer a less boring way to play the game. That's where the Grindless Survival series comes in. The aim of this series of plugins (fabric mod support coming soon) is to decrease/eliminate the grind of specific mind-numbing tasks in Minecraft while not feeling un-vanilla or too modded. In addition, each installation of the line will be intuitive and easy to figure out with no need to constantly visit this page or memorize long commands. The end goal of this series of plugins is to make the Minecraft experience more pleasurable, and to allow you to spend more time on aesthetics, or just moving faster to late game, depending how you want to use it.
Grindless Survival - Building is the first installation of this series, and aims to create an intuitive way to build faster. In fact, it's as simple as holding a stick and placing two blocks. Confused? Read further or just watch the short video below!
As you can see, the plugin not only fills whole areas with blocks just by placing the two corners, provided they are the same type of block. It also doesn't override existing blocks and takes the blocks from your inventory to keep it from being too overpowered. In addition, you can scaffold up to tall places between placements by taking the stick out of your offhand. If you run our of blocks while the plugin is placing, the action will stop and you will have to redo it after getting more blocks. Lastly, if the plugin encounters a non solid block like a flower, or anything else that water can wash away, it will place the block but also break the flower into an item.
Despite the plugin being mainly for survival use, there is also a mode that activates when you're in creative. In this mode, the plugin will not take the blocks that it places from your inventory and will just place them without you losing anything, and will override existing blocks. This could be useful for trying to fill large areas if you don't want to mess with a fill command.
You may be asking, what is the difference between this and a plugin like worldedit? The answer is that not only is this plugin also made to be used for survival while still keeping things fair, but even in creative, this plugin is far more intuitive and requires no memorization of specific commands or mechanisms.
