Battlegrounds is a shooter minigame which aims to simulate many existing shooter games into one large plugin which can be enjoyed with all your friends. The Battlegrounds minigame is an ongoing project which will continue to develop by having new features and gamemodes added to create a competitive and replayable game.

This plugin is currently in its beta phase which means the game is not stable yet. For Battlegrounds to be able to expand and improve, it is going to need user feedback! It would appreciated if you would join the discord server to notify the plugin author of any bugs you may encounter or to simply suggest some features you want to see in future updates!




Unlimited games and arenas
There are no limitations in the amount of games and arenas created.
Multi-arena
Games have the option to contain more than one arena, and will change arena every game when possible.
Automatic games
Games fully reset themselves when they are finished and don't require any reload or restart of some sort.
Responsive controls
All weapons in this minigame are responsive and userfriendly in their controls, providing a smooth gameplay.
Fully functional guns
All guns in this minigame are all fully functional and come in various different forms. The guns range from fully automatic assault rifles to pump action shotguns for the ultimate strategical gameplay!
Lots of other weapons
Asides from guns, the game has a variety of other weapons to surprise your enemies with. These weapons include lethals, tacticals and knives.
Configurable loadouts
The players are able to set up and create their own custom loadout containing their favourite weapons from the game.
Leveling system
Each time a player participates in a match, they gain exp by performing well. By collecting exp, players can level up and unlock new weapons for their custom loadouts.
Different gamemodes
As of now, Battlegrounds supports the gamemodes: Free-for-all and Team Deathmatch. Future updates will likely contain additions of new gamemodes which will introduce new interesting ways of playing the game.
Configurable weapons
The plugin comes with over 40 preconfigured weapons including guns, explosives and knives. All weapons can be edited and new ones can easily be added too.
Fully configurable
All text values, titles and scoreboards can be customized a changed in the configuration files. This way you can alter the plugin's interface to your own liking.

Player commands:

/bg help:
Displays the help menu to the player.

/bg join [id]:
- id: The id of the game to join
Looks for a game with the corresponding id. If that game exists the player will attempt to join this game.

/bg leave:
If the player if inside a game when executing the command, this player will leave the game.

/loadout:
Opens the loadout creation manager. Is locked until the player reaches a certain level (4 by default).

/loadout rename [loadoutid] [name]:
- loadoutid: The id of the loadout to rename
- name: The new name of the loadout
Renames one of a player's loadout's name to something of their own liking.

Admin commands:

(Permission: battlegrounds.creategame)
/bg creategame [id]:
- id: The id of the new game
Creates a new game. Games are identified by an id, this id can be any number you like.

(Permission: battlegrounds.reload)
/bg reload:
Reloads all configurations files into the plugin. Some configurations like weapons need a server restart to be reloaded properly.

(Permission: battlegrounds.removegame)
/bg removegame [id]:
- id: The id of the game to be removed
If this game exists, all data of this game will be erased and cannot be restored.

(Permission: battlegrounds.setgamesign)
/bg setgamesign [id]:
- id: The id of the game
Requires the player to look at a sign. The sign the player is looking at will be the new joining sign for this game. Basic info such as gamestate, arena, player amount will be displayed on this sign. Players can quickly join this game by interacting with the sign.

(Permission: battlegrounds.setlobby)
/bg setlobby [id]:
- id: The id of the game
Sets the waiting lobby of a game. If the game is in its waiting state, players get teleported to this location until the game starts.

(Permission: battlegrounds.setmainlobby)
/bg setmainlobby:
Sets the main waiting lobby of the plugin. Players will sent here when their games have finished.

Arena commands:

(Permission: battlegrounds.createarena)
/bg createarena [id] [arena]:
- id: The id of the game
- arena: The name of the new arena
Requires the player to have created a WorldEdit selection which should cover the whole arena (if players leave this selection while ingame, they will get sent back). After executing the command a new arena gets created and added to the game.

(Permission: battlegrounds.removearena)
/bg removearena [id] [arena]:
- id: The id of the game
- name: The name of the arena to be removed
If a game exists by the same id and this game has an arena by the given name, this arena will be removed from the game. The game itself will keep its data.

(Permission: battlegrounds.addspawn)
/bg addspawn [id] [arena] [teamid]:
- id: The id of the game
- arena: The name of the arena
- teamid: The id of the team this spawn is assigned to. Will only be effective in games using team-based gamemodes
Will add the player's location as a spawn to the arena. When a new game in this arena starts players will be shattered across these spawn locations.

(Permission: battlegrounds.removespawn)
/bg removespawn [id] [arena] [index]:
- id: The id of the game
- arena: The name of the arena
- index: The index of the spawn
Will remove a spawn with a specific index from the arena.

Is there a preset map I could use?

Is there a resource pack for the plugin?
Yes! A resource pack has been created for the plugin. It contains all the textures of the preconfigured weapons. Feel free to do whatever you want do it with it.

Are there any dependencies?
No dependencies. Add the jar file to your plugins folder and you're good to go. You do need WorldEdit for setting up games and arenas, though.
