This plugin protects players' chests and other containers from theft.

And that's all this plugin does.
This plugin does not prevent anyone from destroying any containers -- use a grief protection plugin for that.
It also does not prevent players from throwing objects into hoppers nor from obtaining items given to them by dispensers powered by redstone -- it only prevents players from right-clicking on dispensers and removing items from them that way.
WARNING: One caveat I haven't figured out how to prevent: if you place a chest, that chest will be protected. But if another player places a chest next to yours, that will be HIS chest that you cannot access, but the two chests will link together giving you both access to all items in the combined chest.
Also, this plugin doesn't protect armor stands or item frames. These are two bizarre beasties that need special coding. They will be protected separately by future plugins.

Players can allow other players to access their chests.

In-game commands are as follows:

/CONTAINER HELP - Will display a help message outlining the following commands to the player who issued this command.
/CONTAINER ALLOW [PLAYER] - The player who issued this command will allow the named player to open and access his chests and other containers. This permission will last until the owner of the containers leaves the game.
/CONTAINER LIST - The player will get a list of all players he has allowed to open and access his chests and other containers.
/CONTAINER SHOW - The player will be shown all his nearby containers.
/CONTAINER REVOKE [PLAYER] - Will remove permission from the named player to access the owner player's chests.
/CONTAINER OP SHOW [PLAYER] - Will show all nearby containers owned by the named player.

To install this plugin, copy the plugin JAR file to your server's plugins folder.
