How the Spawn System Works
  1. Cycle timing
    • Every 5 seconds the plugin starts a spawn cycle for each online player.
    • A player is only processed if they have moved at least 15 blocks since the previous cycle, which prevents mobs from piling up around an AFK player.
  2. Chunk selection
    • The plugin collects every chunk within spawnRadius blocks of the player (radius measured from the player’s current location).
    • Chunks are shuffled to avoid favouring any particular direction.
  3. Safety checks
    • Per-world cap – if the total number of custom mobs in the world has reached maxTotalMobs, the cycle is skipped.
    • Per-chunk cap – the average number of custom mobs already present in the selected chunks is calculated.
    • Spawning proceeds only if that average is lower than maxPerChunk.
    • A “custom mob” is any non-player living entity that carries one of this plugin’s custom nameplates, so natural vanilla mobs do not count toward the limits.
  4. Actual spawning
If the checks pass, the plugin makes up to mobsPerRun attempts:
    1. Pick a random chunk from the list.
    2. Pick random X- and Z-coordinates inside that chunk (centre-biased: 8 – 15).
    3. Move the position up to the highest solid block to ensure surface spawning.
    4. Pick a random spawner from the internal registry (Rocket Skeleton, Frost Creeper, Mutant Spider, etc.) and create the mob.
    5. Fire a CustomMobSpawnEvent for compatibility with other plugins.
The process stops early if the global cap is reached while the cycle is still running.
  5. Repeat
    • The next cycle begins after another 5 seconds, starting again from step 1.

Potions Archer
Fires normal arrows, but every shot carries a surprise.
  • On hit → the struck player receives a random negative effect (poison, wither, blindness, etc.) for 10 seconds.
  • On miss → the arrow bursts into a five‑block “mist” that lingers for a full minute; anyone who walks through it picks up the same random debuff.

Skeleton Archer
A smarter, faster‑firing marksman.

  • Tracks movement and “leads” its target, then shoots every second with a Power II bow.
  • Sees players from roughly triple the normal range, so it starts sniping long before they notice.
  • Arrows fly at double speed, making them harder to dodge.
Skeleton Sniper
A glass‑cannon boss‑type encounter.

  • Carries a Power 10 bow—its arrows deal about five times normal damage.
  • Spots players from huge distances (5× follow range).
  • Very low health, but immune to fall damage and dressed in dark‑green leather so it blends into the landscape.
  • Drops its overpowered bow for the killer, giving brave players a valuable reward.

Full Tank Zombie
A lumbering juggernaut clad head‑to‑toe in enchanted diamond gear. It crawls along a little slower than a normal zombie, but its health is doubled and armour soaks up most hits, turning every encounter into a war of attrition.

Launcher Zombie
Spot it, and you’d better keep moving: about every three seconds this zombie catapults itself in a huge arc toward the nearest player, easily clearing ravines or castle walls. It takes no fall damage, so cliffs and lava lakes won’t save you—only quick footwork or a well‑timed arrow.

Zombie Warrior
Faster on its feet and swinging a lightly enchanted diamond sword, this variant moves roughly one‑third quicker and strikes more often than a vanilla zombie. Light leather armour offers just enough protection to keep it alive while it hunts you down.

Fast Jump Spider
A relentless chaser that moves 50% faster, jumps sky‑high, and notices players from twice the normal distance. If you try to pillar up or sprint away, this spider can still reach you.

Throwing Spider
The first bite doesn’t hurt—but it hurls the target about 15 blocks straight up, then snaps a ring of cobwebs around them at the peak. Players must break free in mid‑air or risk a painful fall once gravity wins.

Mutant Spider
A mini‑boss built for chaos:

  • Plants cobwebs under nearby players to pin them.
  • Leaps toward targets for surprise pounces.
  • Blinds on hit, disorienting anyone who closes for melee.
  • Turns invisible when its health drops below half, making the final phase a frantic hunt. Despite the tricks, it still follows vanilla movement and hitboxes.
