# ChromaticChat

ChromaticChat is a powerful and user-friendly chat customization plugin that allows players to personalize their chat messages with colors, gradients, and formatting options. With an intuitive command system and preset management, players can create and save their favorite chat styles.

## Commands

### Chat Color Commands
- `/chatcolor color <colorname|hexcode>` - Set chat color
- `/chatcolor gradient <startcolor> <endcolor>` - Create gradient effect
- `/chatcolor reset` - Reset color settings
- `/chatcolor bold` - Toggle bold text
- `/chatcolor list` - Show available colors

- `/preset save <name>` - Save current color settings
- `/preset load <name>` - Load a saved preset
- `/preset delete <name>` - Delete a saved preset

## Permissions

### Basic Permissions
- `chromatichat.set` - Use basic colors (default: true)
- `chromatichat.gradient` - Use gradient effects (default: op)
- `chromatichat.custom` - Use custom HEX colors (default: op)
- `chromatichat.reset` - Reset chat colors (default: true)
- `chromatichat.bold` - Use bold text (default: true)
- `chromatichat.bypass.cooldown` - Bypass cooldown timer (default: op)

### Preset Permissions
- `chromatichat.preset.save` - Save color presets (default: true)
- `chromatichat.preset.load` - Load saved presets (default: true)
- `chromatichat.preset.delete` - Delete saved presets (default: true)
- `chromatichat.preset.list` - List saved presets (default: true)

### Admin Permission
- `chromatichat.admin` - Grants all permissions (default: op)

## Color Reference

### Pre-made Gradients
Use `/gradients` or `/ccgs` to browse and apply these beautiful gradients:

- Sunset: Warm sunset colors (`#FF512F` → `#F09819`)
- Ocean: Cool ocean blues (`#2193b0` → `#6dd5ed`)
- Forest: Deep forest greens (`#134E5E` → `#71B280`)
- Amethyst: Rich purple tones (`#9D50BB` → `#6E48AA`)
- Fire: Hot and vibrant (`#FF416C` → `#FF4B2B`)
- Rainbow: Classic rainbow (`#FF0000` → `#00FF00`)
- Midnight: Subtle dark gradient (`#232526` → `#414345`)
- Cherry Blossom: Soft pink tones (`#FF758C` → `#FF7EB3`)
- Golden Hour: Bright golden tones (`#F7971E` → `#FFD200`)
- Arctic: Cool arctic blues (`#83EAF1` → `#63A4FF`)

### Named Colors
- Black: `black`
- Dark Blue: `dark_blue`
- Dark Green: `dark_green`
- Dark Aqua: `dark_aqua`
- Dark Red: `dark_red`
- Dark Purple: `dark_purple`
- Gold: `gold`
- Gray: `gray`
- Dark Gray: `dark_gray`
- Blue: `blue`
- Green: `green`
- Aqua: `aqua`

- Light Purple: `light_purple`

### HEX Colors
Use any valid HEX color code in the format `#RRGGBB`
Examples:
- `#FF0000` - Pure Red
- `#00FF00` - Pure Green
- `#0000FF` - Pure Blue
- `#FF69B4` - Hot Pink
- `#9400D3` - Dark Violet

## Installation

1. Download ChromaticChat.jar
2. Place the jar file in your server's `plugins` folder
3. Restart your server
4. Configure permissions as needed

## Requirements

- Server Software: Paper/Spigot
- Minecraft Version: 1.21.x
- Java Version: 21 or higher

## Configuration

The plugin saves all player data in `plugins/ChromaticChat/player_colors.yml`

### Default Settings
- Cooldown: 30 seconds
- Auto-save: Every 5 minutes
