Requirements
Essence is designed with heavy permissions use for customisation - we strongly recommend using LuckPerms. You can learn more about permissions on our commands page at the wiki.
Essence supports CraftBukkit, Spigot, Paper, and Folia; as well as forks of these. Some commands may only work on Paper and Folia.
For specific Minecraft versions, please see the versions tab.
Certain features have support for Vault, PlaceholderAPI, and a permissions plugin. Essence will work without these, but certain features including the economy and placeholders will only work within Essence's commands. There's more information about which specific features need this on our wiki.
