Measure the distance between (and including) 2 blocks.

Commands:
Both commands output the block material and location of the selected points.

/ruler anchor

• Sets (or changes) the anchor point to the block a player is looking at (max distance is 64).

/ruler measure

• Measures distance from the anchor point to the block the player is looking at. If there is no anchor point, this will set the anchor point.
