Version: 3.0.3
Cool plugin, but the discord link havent sent me to me yet :(((, btw love your work, waiting to use the GDHooks

Version: 3.0.3
The first time I bought the add-on I didn't notice that the invitation arrived in my email, so it expired in a day, but I have sent an email to request another invitation link again and they still haven't responded.

Version: 3.0.1
I have to do this to may be not overlooked. Right after all will be sorted out I will remove this review.

To his day, over 4 months I haven’t receive any email about Discord server.
Wrote 2 emails on [email protected], 27.6.24 and today(25.10.24), this purchase was done on 24.6.24

I left a 4 star review under this one where I told this, I have wrote into discussion too and on GitHub I get no answer at all.

Better it up, please.

Version: 2.5.15
buy and sellblocks commands dont work, even with the config set up properly according to the documentation. Accrued blocks per hour does not apply to players outside the default group in luckperms. Protection works, and is robust, but these shortcomings make me want to abandon this plugin. also theres NO support anywhere, and im not paying for support that i still have to wait for.
-
Author's response
The issues you mentioned are permission issues not GD issues. As for support, you should of received a GD discord invite sent to the PayPal email used to purchase. All support is handled on discord. If you have further issues, email [email protected]

Version: 2.5.15
Latest version does not work with 1.16.5 arclight - Support system is kinda buns as you have to wait a while to try and get an invite link to the discord. I don't wish to join 1.5 million servers for all my plugins to get support.
-
Author's response
GD has always supported Arclight. Previous versions did not support 1.16.5 running on Java 16+ but that is no longer an issue in 3.0.0. As for support, discord invites are sent to PayPal email used to purchase as stated on Spigot page. If you have further issues, email [email protected]

Version: 2.5.13
Absolutely amazing claim plugin! I hope GDHooks will be updated with a newer version of java too! Cant wait to have dynmap show areas again!
-
Author's response
GDHooks updates can be found on discord.

Version: 2.5.13
As is described I have to wait 24h to receive Discord invite trough email. But nothing, I’ve already wrote an email about it, but nevermind…

Plugin is really hard to understand how works, but after reading the wiki some time more, it’s really easy. Integrated GUI which works even when you block certain commands for players, custom alias for plugin in internal support so you can call it whatever you want. For me rn best plugin for protection but what I’m missing is a Discord as sometimes I need a fast answer and on wiki it is a bit hidden.

And I never saw said it have same PvP protections as GriefPrevention, thats what I need figure out (tpakill, after death protection, etc)

Version: 2.5.13
The plugin is compatible with Arclight?????.............................................
-
Author's response
Yes, Arclight is supported.

Version: 2.5.7
GriefDefender is easily the best protection plugin on the market.\, and a big step up from the free alternatives.

Version: 2.5.7
No complaints, everything works, never had an issue with that. Can't wish for more than that with plugin.

Version: 2.5.7
Dev got a new feature added and was helpful in getting it tested and set up. Really glad I came back to GD after using another solution for a couple of years.

Version: 2.5.5
Great stuff so far. Migration of regions from a GriefPrevention database was an absolute breeze. Nearly all limitations presented in GriefPrevention have been addressed. Documentation is extensive for most features. Wish the plugin was still open source.

Version: 2.5.5
I've been using GriefDefender for over two years now and have received nothing but dedicated support from the developer himself and the rest of the community in the discord. I switched from Grief Prevention to GD primarily for the extensive flag control you have as the admin, something GP lacks. Starting out, it's definitely daunting and can be overwhelming if you ignore the docs, but everything you need to know about the plugin, commands, permissions, how to create your own flags, different configuration options, etc, is presented to you in a super clean format.

I also use Skript on my server, and Blood goes out of his way every time there's a Skript update to support me with a custom Skript jar that has GD integrated (so I can check for claims) - and he does it quick, too.

Literally can not ask for a better developer or a claim management plugin with unlimited possibilities of flag customization..

Version: 2.5.5
Developer has gamebreaking bugs and refuses to give support to purchasers. Dev has his own unique system for allowing you to join his discord server for support. Consequently, if you do not have the original email link that is send all the way back from 2021, you will never get a response from the developer, or any support whatsoever. If you take a moment to look at his Github, you can see there are a ton of outstanding tickets and bugs that are gamebreaking for players (such as negative claim block accrual for no reason). These kinds of bugs on a highly paid app is totally unacceptable, the support is even more unacceptable, and finally, the developer gives zero remorse or any care to fix the existing problems that have been plaguing this plugin for years. In my opinion, this is a total sham. Spend your money elsewhere. 0/10.

"Dev has his own unique system for allowing you to join his discord server for support. Consequently, if you do not have the original email link that is send all the way back from 2021, you will never get a response from the developer, or any support whatsoever."

You purchased GD on 7/29/23. The only email you sent to [email protected] was on January 17, 2024. If you had issues for months, why report them 6 months later? You were also sent a second link on January 26th at 4:59PM EST which you did not use.

"If you take a moment to look at his Github, you can see there are a ton of outstanding tickets and bugs that are gamebreaking for players (such as negative claim block accrual for no reason). These kinds of bugs on a highly paid app is totally unacceptable"

GD hasn't been open source since version 1.5. The last commit clearly shows it was pushed over 3 years ago. Only Spigot and discord is updated with latest builds.

"the support is even more unacceptable, and finally, the developer gives zero remorse or any care to fix the existing problems that have been plaguing this plugin for years. In my opinion, this is a total sham. Spend your money elsewhere. 0/10."

GD's Spigot page clearly states the following :

'After purchasing, please allow up to 24hrs to receive a Discord invite e-mail. If you do NOT receive it within that time, send an email to [email protected]'

You sent an email 6 months later and now claim 'support is even more unacceptable'. This makes no logical sense. If you do not report issues, support can not use a crystal ball to fix it. You must report the issues using the proper support channels if you want anything resolved.

As for 'negative claim blocks', you clearly did not follow GD's docs. You can fix this issue by reading

https://docs.griefdefender.com/wiki/#permissions

These docs are mentioned in README and on Spigot.

All in all, this review sums up another user who did not read.

Version: 2.5.5
Absolute beast of a plugin.

Owner: 10/10 developer, quick, active, responsive on a daily basis.

Support: Very good support, plain and simple, precise and to the point.

The only thing I can constructively criticise is the fact that the plugin seems to be moving towards an "overcluttered/overfeatured" status. Please try to keep things simple.

Users complain about complicated chat GUI (you can get used to the complaints, and also the gui complexity, though hehe)

Version: 2.5.5
The plugin excels in functionality, and the support team is equally impressive, with both aspects continually improving.

However, after two years of use, I'd like to address a few concerns I have. The most significant issue for me is the plugin's complexity, which often feels excessive. The multitude of permissions, commands, features, and intricate configurations, coupled with confusing database structures with its usage of LP or GD, can be overwhelming. Understanding and customizing the plugin to fit one's specific needs is a substantial undertaking.

It's a powerful tool for those ready to invest the time and effort to master it. However, if you're in search of a straightforward plugin focused solely on preventing griefing by using simple claims, you might want to consider other options.

Version: 2.5.2
I recommend using these plugins!
Bloodmc is actually extremely enthusiastic, he spent more than 10 hours to fix some problems that not everyone has!

For me his plugins and support service are so great, I wish I could rate more than 5* because 5* is not enough compared to what this plugins and bloodmc bring!

I hope in the future plugins will develop even more strongly!

Respect bloodmc!

Version: 2.4.6
I like this plugin. Especially the detailed claim info. It really feels premium!

Version: 2.4.6
The best claiming plugin out there! I needed quite some support but the owner was patient and helped me with the setup. I have never had better support on any other plugin, so I had to leave a review for him.

If you are looking for an easy-to-use claiming plugin for your players, but a super strong core for the staff team, this is the one you need!

It has a price label but it was 100% worth it.

Thank you bloodshot!

Version: 2.4.1
Plugin super, dev great, support good.
I have asked multiple questions over discord. And the dev didnt skip one question. Even asked a few hours later if first question/issue was resolved. Overal rating 5 stars

Version: 2.4.1
Will rewrite when accepted for discord.
Been waiting for a day, written mail about 6 hours ago. No response

Version: 2.4.0
Many users who gave low ratings due to some bugs in the plugin, didn't even try to report it, or talk to the dev, every time I reported a problem, everything was quickly resolved... the wiki is constantly updated, so that's enough take a little time to read, and everything will be clarified, in fact, you don't even need the wiki, many settings are self-explanatory and even come with a brief description of what each option changes or doesn't change.

Regarding optimization, we know that Java was not designed for Minecraft, so GD requires Aikar Flags to have the necessary optimization not only for the plugin, but also for the entire server, in the beginning I had a very bad host that didn't allow put the aikar flags, after I migrated to a better host, in addition to the absurd amount of users I can have, GD is literally one of the plugins that has the least impact on the server and is the core of my survival.

One of the incredible mods that GD has integration with is WorldEdit CUI (Requires you to have WorldEdit or FAWE), this makes life not only easier for administrators, but also for players!

GD as standard is already very functional, but depending on what the user wants to do, reading the wiki will be necessary.
The discord channel now has a "flags" tab made by the users themselves, this helped immensely to customize the servers more quickly, however, each server has its own particularity and customization, and GD allows you to create incredible rules, giving a unique touch on your server.

Version: 2.4.0
Absolutely love this plugin! Frequent updates and a very supportive dev. The plugin itself is easy to use and set up, giving users full control of their land. I love it!

Version: 2.4.0
Been using this plugin for years! Phenomenal plugin that's easy to setup, has amazing documentation, an extremely active discord with a very responsive dev who even holds livestreams to teach the more advanced aspects! Honestly, it would take half a dozen other plugins to replace what this can do. It's easy to setup the basics and get up and running, and the advanced options allow for an insane amount of customizability vs similar apps.

Version: 2.3.9
As a new server owner / admin I cannot recommend investing into / planning around this plugin at the moment.

Documentation is very lacking and even the most basic pages are empty and don't seem to be being updated very often. Example, FAQ tab->Options: "Work in progress..." is the entire page, it says written September 10, 2021 and doesn't seem to have ever been edited again...
https://docs.griefdefender.com/faq/Flag-Definitions.html
(... After digging into the github repo, it looks it was re-created as an .md file Oct 6, 2022... still just says "Work in progress..." though)

The lack of a public Discord, is obnoxious. The fact that a link to the private Discord isn't posted anywhere is even more of a pain to the customer. If you're anything like me and don't bother to join the Discord before you actually need support and can't find the invite email that was supposedly sent to the same email as your reciept when you do need support... Then I guess you (and I..) will need to send an email (to who knows where) to get support or just an invite to be able to read the actual questions that people are asking frequently... you know FAQ's that aren't hard coded?
(... found the email in the README, but goodness.. just another step for what should be very simple... why not put the Discord invite URL in the README?!?)

The wiki has a "How to contribute" page like they're expecting a community to help them fill in the blanks, but again, no Discord and no support means unless you reverse engineer part of it then you will have nothing to contribute to it.

I think there's a lot of potential here, and if the devs put more priority into documentation or just open up the Discord then this could be a great solution; but the lack of a fleshed out knowledge base or any type of easily joinable community to ask for support makes it a bad choice in the long run (to me..).

For now I have to give this a 1 star for being completely useless if it stops working since there is no ability to troubleshoot issues.

Author's response
User completely ignored reading GD's Spigot support section which explicitly outlines how to access Discord and documentation.

"After purchasing, please allow up to 24hrs to receive a Discord invite e-mail. If you do NOT receive it within that time, send an email to: [email protected].

Note: This e-mail will be sent to the e-mail used to purchase on PayPal. Make sure to check spam/junk email. If you require it via Spigot PM, please contact us."

As for docs being "very lacking", a FAQ is not a wiki. If you go to https://docs.griefdefender.com and click "How to use", it takes you where you have to be. It cannot be any more clear than that.

Our docs also have a dedicated GitHub repository located at
https://github.com/bloodmc/GriefDefenderDoc which is updated frequently.

The flag definition page can be found on the actual wiki under 'Basics' https://docs.griefdefender.com/wiki/basic/Flag-Definitions-GUI.html and has all the information needed to manage definitions.

Overall, the user clearly did not read anything and just assumed everything was missing or left out on purpose.

Version: 2.3.9
As you can see by other buyers reviews, there is no support for this plugin. The owner could just inform the discord invite in the resource page as everyone else, but his discord is a mystery unable to be seen by anyone, even by the customers. I have sent emails, DMs, for months and still couldn't get the invite.
As others are saying, the plugin is good, but the advanced commands and interface are confusing for server owners and players. And we cant get any light on how to use simple things like blocking players from entering claims. Yes there is a wiki, byt it is as confusing as the interfaces in the plugin. I know the developers says there is support and blah, blah, but some buyers disagree with that, unfortunately. this could be a 5/5 resource.
-
Author's response
You received your discord invite the day you bought it on 6/21/23 at 10:14PM EST. GD's spigot page clearly states to check junk/spam if you do not see the email. I just sent another invite via DM. Please adjust this review as its not accurate at all.

Version: 2.3.9
A good plugin to use, great support that helps you when you have a problem, daily updates I can say, and a plugin that is really worth the money, congratulations to those who created it!

Version: 2.3.9
Takes time to get used to the plugin, but once you get it there really isn't any comparison. WorldGuard doesn't do what this can do, neither does GriefPrevention. Updates are fast, support is pretty good for real.

Dev is pretty dedicated to improving performance, on a survival server with 40~ players GD would only take up less then 3% of tick time on spark. For minigame servers with less mob spawns, likely to take up even less.

Version: 2.3.8
As a long-time user of a free grief prevention plugin, I was excited to try out Griefdefender with the promise of additional features. However, my experience with this plugin has been far from pleasant, and I cannot wholeheartedly recommend it.

One of the most significant drawbacks of Griefdefender is its complex and confusing interface, both for players and administrators. While the free plugin I used for five years was user-friendly and intuitive, Griefdefender left both players and admins struggling to grasp its functionality. The lack of clarity resulted in constant issues and difficulties while managing claims and protection.

Performance-wise, Griefdefender was a letdown. It significantly impacted the server's performance. This major drawback is a stark contrast to the seamless experience provided by the free plugin I was accustomed to using.

Another troubling aspect is the frequent occurrence of flag-related problems. Some flags, such as water flow control, worked intermittently, leading to inconsistent results. Additionally, the issue of claim blocks going into negative claims emerged frequently. The plugin's developers seemed hesitant to acknowledge the problem as their own, blaming admins or claiming the fault lies with "bad" claims. This left server administrators struggling to manually resolve these issues, which occurred three times in just two weeks.

While Griefdefender may offer enticing extra features on paper, their implementation is rendered ineffective due to the plugin's complicated nature. Players were unable to fully benefit from these features, as they found them confusing and hard to utilize effectively.

In conclusion, as someone coming from a seamless experience with a free grief prevention plugin, I cannot recommend Griefdefender. The confusing user interface, significant performance impact, and unresolved issues with flags and claim management make it a poor choice for those seeking to enhance their server with additional features. I hope the developers address these concerns and improve the plugin's usability in the future. Until then, I advise sticking with a more reliable and user-friendly alternative.

Author's response
Lets address these concerns 1 by 1

1. User Interface - User was confused about the flag interface and was told to create a suggestion thread. User did so and provided no details whatsoever only that it was confusing. Our staff added a detailed response asking multiple questions to gather better feedback and user ignored it. User also failed to mention he created a custom interface using DeluxeMenus in GP but did not mention why he did not create one for GD. The flag issue was also addressed in DEV which was stated in the same suggestion thread user ignored to read.

2. Significant Performance Impact - This was a bug with a bad trust lookup that was addressed in DEV and even posted public to all users. There is also a page dedicated to optimizations on docs https://docs.griefdefender.com/wiki/advanced/Optimizations.html
User did not bother reading this page.

3. Unresolved issues with Flags - Water control was fixed in DEV as another tester provided necessary feedback to resolve the issue other than "it does not work".

All in all, this user did not want to put any effort into any of his concerns other than something did not work. It was clear this user was bias from the start as he wanted everything to work identical to his old GP setup. He also had no motivation in reading docs or providing valuable feedback to address concerns/issues.

Version: 2.3.8
1 start becauze still waithing my discord .....how i blacklist claims in end? how do i set nonpvp in claims? i dont want playes to teleport in claim

Version: 2.3.8
The plugin seems overall to be really complete. However, it's true that the basic documentation lacks a bit of content or examples, I'm having trouble figuring out how to make GDHooks work or even where to add the Claims layer to Dynmap. The rental system is not very clear either in the settings or even a clear tutorial with an example to understand how it works. A public and directly accessible Discord could have been set up directly without having to go through its time digging through the wiki or downloaded files looking for an email address to get invited

Version: 2.3.8
amazing plugin with fast updates .

Version: 2.3.7
The plugin is good, a bit confusing to use, but works nice.
The big problem is that there is no support at all. No discord.. i have bought this plugin a while ago and until now no discord to ask for support. We have to figure out issues by ourselves. Right now im having a problem with the plugin but can't get any support.
-
Author's response
I'm sorry but this is not accurate at all. Did you read GD's spigot page? There is an entire section on how to access discord. There is also a README included in the download that mentions who to email if you have problems joining discord.
As for docs, See https://docs.griefdefender.com/ which is also mentioned in the README.

Version: 2.3.7
Hello can i get my invitation to discord please i have send that mail 3 weeks ago and still nothing

Version: 2.3.7
The best earth protection plugin, it's the most versatile in every way, you can customize it without worrying, checks/actions, everything you can create with GriefDefender, sure it's kinda hard to use at first, but then we see how powerful is GD for multi-purpose servers

The latest versions (since 2.3) I haven't found any bugs and I don't see any bug reports either, when something is reported, the developer quickly fixes it

It is a very rich plugin, which supports the main Spigot plugins, without a doubt the integration is also something to praise.

Version: 2.3.5
A must for protection! It's a versatile plugin that lets you modify any aspect of it. It has been more than 2 years using it and I cannot be more thankful for the developer. It has migration features if you are currently using other claimming plugin! I wouldn't wait more to get my hands on this masterpiece

In the other hand, it's also a plug-and-play! and all configuration files are perfectly explained and made with HOCON, which feels way more organized

Version: 2.3.5
Amazing & essential plugin for most servers, us server owners are very lucky to have access to a plugin like this. I've been using it for many years now and I'm not sure what we would have done with out it :)

Version: 2.3.5
Amazing plugin! Super customizable, and I love the GUI! The GUI makes it especially easy for players to edit claim settings. Worth it 1000x! I look forward to the continued development of this plugin.

If you ever have any questions, the Discord server gives quick and helpful answers. The dev is always watching for bugs and fixing them.

Version: 2.3.2
Hi, I need the discrod link as it never arrived in the mail once I bought it
:CC

Version: 2.3.2
I got to say, since the last build and all the progress so far, gd has been just great, zero bugs, the performance is great, the memory usage is great and its stable overall. I am a happy user.

Version: 2.3.2
I wish this plugin can still work without LuckPerms(make me alot problems like certain teleporters no longer work) but this Plugin is great atleast this is the updated version from "griefprevention" plugin i was happy to find it again and this paid one have alot cool features as i see.

Version: 2.3.2
''This is a perfomance and stability update addressing various issues in 2.3.1 release''. Its always the same shit perfomance as before, but introducing new issues, always same, nothing changed.

MultiPaper support is also only given to patreons due to the amount of work involved to support it. User never became a patreon and never used proper support channels as stated in discord guidelines.”

Version: 2.3.2
Getting better!
This new version fixed some console bugs and spam, in addition to improving performance a lot and things are still working perfectly at the level of the vanilla game, really GD is a beautiful plug-in and well coded, it comes functional permanently!

Version: 2.3.1
Definitely recommend this plugin. Top of the line claiming system. API is great to work with too. Author is kind and willing to help fix things.

Version: 2.3.1
Wasted money. In every new update instead of fixing bugs, produces more bugs. Also author is very uncompressible and he cant care less about his own plugin, asking him like 2 months to fix X bugs and he just unfriends you, we the server owners are more worried about his plugin functionality than him. But hey he thinks he is very good because he hooks to a new plugin his plugin each week. (self c*cksuck!ng)

Do not buy, there are better free options than his bad way to behave simply by telling bugs of his plugin has and never fixing them, instead creating new bugs.

using it since 2 years now and safe to say this is one of best claim plugin i have found , the best feature is the ability to buy or sell claimblocks in a server which gives something to grind heavily for it

Version: 2.3.1
Excellent support! flexable perms! overall amazing plugin!
Would recommend to everyone!

Version: 2.3.1
I need an invite for the discord to get support please... you don't answer to dms..

Version: 2.3.1
Awesome plugin with endless possibilities!

I fully replaced GriefPrevention with that due to the lack of updates and I’m as happy as I could be. The Flagsystem is awesome easy to configure, the config is well organized and explained and the migration was as easy as it could be.
Also when I found an issue the plugin developer contacted me a few mins after I reported it, with a test build I should try, and it immediately fixed it. That’s far more then someone can expect!:) He’s also super friendly and on their discord everyone is nice and helpful!:)
When you search for a feature rich plugin, with a super nice dev, frequent updates. Then you’re right here. Also the installation is super well documented in their wiki!:) Best purchase in a while!:)

Version: 2.3.0
Best Plugin for Claiming territory. Sure you can use one of those simple claim plugins but they won't give you anything compared to Grief Defender.

Grief Defender makes it so easy for the user to claim areas, and yet there is so much customization offered in the plugin. It has so many integrations with other plugins which honestly makes this the #1 claims plugin on the market.

Support is amazing and are always there for you, sometimes it takes time but never more than a couple hours.

Overall this plugin is really an 11 / 10 - so many features with such simplicity involved makes this unbelievably useful and simple for new users when they join my server.

Version: 2.3.0
Is there in the plugin that you can make a claim from 3 different points? that is, it should not be a square or rectangle, to be able to make claims, for example, in the shape of a T?

Version: 2.2.5
Great plugin, updated quite often, and amazing support. Although the configs are a little messy and takes some time to get used to, that doesn't change the performance nor quality of this plugin. I would definitely recommend this plugin.

Version: 2.2.4
when you hit the claim and look when it was last connected, it says the same for all of them. can this problem be solved?

Author's response
How is this a review? Reviews are not meant for support questions. Join discord if you want support.

Version: 2.2.4
Some reviews reported that GDHooks is only supported for Patreon, this is a lie.
GDHooks is always released to everyone on a Discord channel, bloodshot does everything to make things work, API changes like the one that happened in BlueMap takes a little more time to make, but then everything works perfectly.
I have no complaints about all the questions I've asked on Discord, support has always answered me in an acceptable time, and GD bugs when reported correctly (This is very important) are quickly fixed.

Version: 2.2.3
Works flawlessly. Compatible with everything I use. People complaining about the dev not helping but I have the opposite experience. He answers the most basic questions I have, and even pushed updated to GDHooks within minutes of me finding issues. The wiki is long and detailed, has everything you could need. If you miss something asking on the discord works, someone usually responds quickly. The plugin is kept up to date, and not abandoned like most premium plugins.

Version: 2.2.3

The plugin at its core works and does as it's supposed to. But I purchased this plugin for its compatibility with my other plugins as advertised, this requires GDhooks which is not often updated even on pull requests (i believe last request for gdhook update sat for a week +). You also get very limited support unless you further pay more into their patreon. I understand the need to earn from plugins but putting most of its support behind subscription based donations is awful customer service. 3 stars is all I can give due to support issues, i hope it improves. Sadly a waste of my money at this time can't recommend
-
Author's response
First off, BlueMap recently pushed out a breaking API change that required GDHooks to be updated. You were still able to use the previous BlueMap version just fine with GDHooks. You cannot expect a plugin that integrates with many others to immediately update as everything must be tested and reviewed.

As for Pull Requests sitting, this makes no sense. Pull Requests are "Requests" and are not guaranteed to be pulled just because a PR was made. Many are closed due to various factors. Having a PR pulled after a few weeks is not long at all.

As for limited support, the only support behind Patreon is for GDHooks. I do not know how that can be labeled as "most support" when GriefDefender itself is fully supported and a very large plugin to deal with. You also only asked 2 questions on discord both of which were answered.

In any case, GDHooks now supports BlueMapAPI v2 and all plugins have always been compatible as advertised. You just had to have patience instead of ranting in a review.

There are various ways for a player to receive more claim blocks.

https://github.com/bloodmc/GriefDefender/wiki/Commands#gd-player-adjustbonusblocks

Version: 2.2.2
Nice plugin, best protection plugin there is, bedrock compatibility helps a lot, thank you very much

Version: 2.2.1
GD is 100% usable out of the box, zero config. You want to drag and drop it and leave it at that? Go for it, it'll work like a beast. A week or two later, when you've spotted something you want to tune? 5 minutes work. Yeah, the configs are lengthy but you hardly have to touch a thing. Yes, it's more powerful than you need. That's the point of it - it's stupidly powerful (almost to the point of it being funny) but works without any effort.

If you're sophisticated enough to delve into flags and options, then sure, it gets harder. But again, you don't need to.

GD has only improved over the last year or two - a regular update schedule, heavy focus on testing, and a great community (Discord) makes it a good investment.

Version: 2.2.1
This is an amazing plugin, very easy to configure. It has amazing features, amazing support. The developer legit fixes bugs in minutes of telling em on discord. Love the functionality this plugin provides, and the changes other plugins such as gp have so long missed.

Do not listen to those who sayin that this plugin is hard to configure, the configuration has loads of comments explaining it, a really good documentation, as well as an amazing support on discord. Its also really easy to use for the community. Would 100% recommend this plugin as its much better than other grief prevention plugins out there.

Version: 2.2.1
This plugin has had a load of development into it! i appreciate that. but:
- some people join, do /claim, find out that there is a claiming plugin and leave. this plugin will NOT give you more players as a lot of players like coreprotect or other stuff like that more!
- this plugin REQUIRES people to do stuff for updates, configuration and other stuff. not only admins, players too! i haven't heard a nice word about it of all the 2000+ players which have joined our humble community. there is a giant documentation and a just as giant configuration section (which isn't in yml). this plugin is NOT intuitive and NOT easy to understand. this is NOT drag and drop! they basically get you to ask for support and their discord link expires after some time.
- the performance impact of the plugin is one of the highest on all the servers of our network. we have had constant lag spikes. our entire network has a hexacore CPU, 1Gb/s and 64 gigs of ram, of which 10 were assigned to our survival server at the time. we used akairs flags.

yes, this plugin might have a nice dev, good support and be able to do roughly anything, but do not get this for your server. iwe have had 3 different people try to configure this.

instead of this plugin we're looking and possibly planning to write a plugin which can detect griefing without players having to claim anything. (they might need to do /trust or the plugin might detect it by checking chat). we're using coreprotect for now (awesome plugin, and it is drag and drop)

as for the other ratings, there's an observer bias: a lot of people disliking the plugin will click on the rating button and find out that they can't rate because they can only rate if they downloaded the newest version of the plugin. (this plugin updates fast).

Author's response
To address your concerns in order :
1. Players leaving after finding out there is a claiming plugin has no relation to the quality of the plugin.

2. GD requires admins to *READ* the 'Getting Started' guide on wiki. Players do not have to do anything with updates.
The plugin uses HOCON configuration as stated on wiki. Plugins are not required to use YAML.
If you read the spigot page, you would of seen it clearly states discord invites expire after 24 hours and to request a new one if needed.

3. As for performance, if you were having constant lag spikes, why not provide the results on discord? All critical performance issues get addressed.

4. "instead of this plugin we're looking and possible planning to write a plugin..."
Why does a review need to include this?

5. "As for the other ratings, there's an observer bias..."
This comment really summed up your review as GD does not control the rating system. The 'All-Time Rating' includes every single rating so I'm not sure what you are on about but clearly you have a bias against this plugin.

I'm all for constructive reviews but this clearly was not one.

Version: 2.2.0
Hey, I love this plugin but am having trouble knowing how to do a few of the things in it: Can I get the invite to the discord?

Version: 2.1.8
Definitely the best of all the grief prevention plugins I've tried, works great on sponge servers as well very quick with support too!

Version: 2.1.7
Hello, I've bought the plugin but failed to recieve the discord link please send it in my pm :)

Version: 2.1.6
It is certainly the best SpigotMC plugin, when I bought it it was to replace GriefPrevention, I saw that GriefDefender had some features that made it superior, such as flag control, for greater customization and greater autonomy for the player, for him being able to do whatever you want in the claim, whether it's enabling fire or explosion or allowing others to open/close the doors of your house...

It is currently the best plugin for those who use Aikar's JVM Flags because it basically eliminates any delay that the plugin could generate, that is, it is an extremely well optimized plugin, not generating delays in TPS or any type of lag on the server, so in this matter, don't worry the plugin despite being very rich in features it is also extremely well optimized, in its settings there is a part dedicated to plugin optimizations!
Another thing I loved is the integration with WorldEdit which allows using the WorldEdit CUI which my players love as it makes it so easy to view claims in both 2D and 3D claims!

Interfaces with claimgui is 100% useful for those who have a cross-platform server, because claimgui is both useful for those who play on PC, and for those who play on a smartphone, console... this makes everyone's experience very pleasant and demonstrates that GD is a plugin that is always up to date with community news, supporting both is versatile, and you can choose what you like best.

The developer is very attentive and has just fixed a lot of bugs that have just been reported, showing that this plugin is indeed worth your money, as the support is very fast! Nowadays I don't know of a plugin that works so well on a vanilla server (With all the redstone gadgets active) without having problems, it's certainly the plugin that has no problem for those who want to run a good survival and make automatic farms. ..
There is also great support for other plugins, making GriefDefender the most versatile and compatible plugin, thanks to GDHooks, the developer is always looking to integrate some plugins that are in demand.

customizations to taste, this is what makes GD the best land protection plugin, as you as an administrator will be able to grant/create new flags for players to use, or even restrict something, all in a single plugin, it it replaces WorldGuard(Flags) very well so that no new extension is needed, everything is already inside it, with gddebug you can create your rules and your demands, above I wrote that it is the best plugin that fits the survival in the way it comes, but if you have a mini-games server or anything that has some degree of customization, the GD will also be perfect, because with it you can customize not only the flags, but also the greeting messages entry and exit of a player, or even restrictions, whether to enter a specific region, or place a block or use a specific block, or entity.

Version: 2.1.5
Plugin fully functional, easy to use and customizable thanks to its flags, assistance from the creator, flawless. 10/10

Version: 2.1.5
Good plugin, but the config could be better. Beside that it's 10x better than other claim plugins like GriefPrevention, Lands and Protection Stones.

Version: 2.1.5
The plugin is complex, but this is actually a good thing. It means it's more flexible.

Also, how can one complain, when the dev puts a ton of hours to maintain this, answers all your questions politely, and even shoves recomendations.

Version: 2.1.4
the staff help you and they have patience with you ...i want to give them 10 starts but i cant i give 5 stars 2 times :) nice plugin

Version: 2.1.4
Great plugin and author! The plugin support is fantastic! And the author is actively developing and expanding the plugin to make it support more external plugins!

Version: 2.1.4
This is the best protection plugin of all. Beside being constantly updated it keep evolving with new improved things you never knew you needed until they're there. Highly customizable as well it works not only perfectly out of the box but have superb support for protecting modded content as well. Just pure magic.

Version: 2.1.4
Overall this is a really great plugin. Given a choice between this and Grief Protection this is the more reliable option. They both provide great service when it comes to players protecting their builds but Grief Defender is much more customizable. However, I have a few complaints that I'm sure will be resolved with the great support provided to this plugin's users.

The wiki doesn't feel complete. Now don't get me wrong, the wiki provides great detail over core elements within the config file but there's some missing aspects. I.e there's details about how to setup signs for renting but there's a lack of details for setting up signs for selling.

Additionally, the plugin isn't so new-user friendly. Now the plugin is simple, just use a golden shovel on opposite corners of each claim and you're done! However this isn't so simple for absolutely new players that have never played on a server with this system before.

The wiki does provide information on how to use this system but I'm certain players aren't interested sifting through config to learn how to use the system itself.

Instead of having the server admins create their own player guides on how to use the system maybe this plugin could take a page out of Grief Protection's book and make a user friendly video on how to claim their land.

That's most of my complaints. Again I think this plugin overall surpasses other grief prevention plugins and I'm very excited for the future of this plugin. :)

Version: 2.1.2
The plugin does what it's supposed to - however, your server will lag unless you can use custom JVM flags. That's fair, but when I was told this in support, the developer talked down my host when I said that I would have to find another host because mine did not allow the editing of the JVM flags without forcing you to upgrade to an extreme plan. He suggested CryHosting - and I trusted him because I thought he would know what servers offer the features required to efficiently run his plugin. When I paid to switch hosts, I found out that CryHosting also forces you to upgrade to an extreme plan in order to edit the JVM flags and the amount of RAM he suggested wasn't even available in the extreme plans so I know he did not suggest getting an extreme server which is out of my budget anyway. I'm disappointed in the support I received for this plugin and will I feel like I can't safely rely on the support from the developer of the plugin in question. I'm jumping through hoops just to use this resource. The rating would be 2 stars if I wasn't planning on continuing to use this GD, but it is the only plugin of its kind for Sponge that is still being updated and for that, I will give it 3 stars but my opinion actually stands somewhere around 2.5 stars and I will have to second-research any support given to me by the developers of this plugin - especially if it requires any critical changes to my server or requiring that I spend money such as switching hosts. I suggest anyone seeking support with this plugin take it with a grain of salt and not to purchase this plugin unless you are an intermediate or expert at hosting as this plugin is not, in my opinion, beginner friendly.

Version: 2.1.2
I love this plugin. Best plugin for migration from grief prevention. GD is similar like GP, more configs but harder to make all configuration. I tested it on 1.18.1, flags works great. Good and fast support for every configuration, nice GUI. In my opinion best claiming and atigriefing plugin :)

Version: 2.1.2
5 stars now, Ive resolved my previous issue. Ive been learning how to use this plugin and its way better then the previous one Ive used.

Version: 2.1.1
GD is certainly a good land protection plugin. Warning though it requires more than the average amount of effort to go through the config and understand the settings.

Also watch out for the discord invite link, it's (probably) worth joining and you only get 24 hours before you have to email to request access again (I've been waiting for a reply from the Dev for a few days now over email to get in).

Version: 2.1.1
The best land protection plugin!

For sure GriefDefender is today the best land protection plugin you can find here on SpigotMC! The plugin settings are extremely flexible, to the point that you can customize absolutely everything and have full control over how the protection works, from blocks/interactions/animals/monsters.

Another very positive point is GDHooks, thanks to it I manage to maintain a very interesting level of communication with other plugins, be it store/map/clan... As I can only say things from my experience, if you use McMMO or ChestShop, GDHooks will perfectly match your server, the level of integration is lovely and the result is incredible.

Some observations:
At first I found it a little complicated to change the plugin settings, but after some reading in the documentation and asking questions on discord, I saw how wonderful this plugin is.

Version: 2.0.9
nice plugin. but still have some problem.I set the water-flow to flase.but it still flow

Version: 2.0.9
This is a fantastic plugin and probably the best claim management and grief prevention plugin I have ever seen. I highly recommend!

Version: 2.0.9
I just got this plugin and had some questions so i asked them on their discord. I can say the support and the plugin are amazing! 10/10 for both.

Version: 2.0.8
I didn't leave a review yet and I'm going to leave it now after 3 months or so of use.

The plugin is fantastic, the developer works hard on it and this gives confidence with the purchase. The only thing I can say is that GriefDefender is a somewhat complex plugin to use with the flags, but at the same time very POWERFUL.

I recommend the purchase.

Version: 2.0.6
This plugin is totally versatile for anyone who wants to make a good server from technology focused on construction, it is so versatile to the point that the available commands are easily adapted to bedrock edition version without the player being limited, the commands it covers are just up to you to it works so much in java/bedrock! At first I thought it was a bit tricky to work on it, but after I learned it I saw how versatile / adaptive this plugin can be to your demands.

Version: 2.0.5
I am really enjoying this plugin. Worth the upgrade from conventional claims plugins and the flags are really good.

The plugin is updated, discord has support. I can recommend this.

Version: 2.0.1
[READ REVIEW - RATING NOT INDICATIVE OF RECOMMENDATION]

My rating of five stars is awarded for this plugin because, through everything, this is still an extremely high quality piece of software. It's developed with care. Support provided for this plugin is excellent, the developer is nice and actively engages with community members and the plugin is reliable and widely compatible. Speaking as a developer, this is a fantastic piece of software and good value for money considering land protection is crucial for most survival servers.

Before I proceed with criticism, I'd like to make a huge disclaimer that I am a seller on the Spigot marketplace too, including selling a land claim plugin. My plugin is extremely different, the only similarity is that they both protect land in one way or another. But it's important to declare conflicts of interest. My rationale for writing this review is simply because I've spent a long time mulling over my thoughts and chatting with other plugin users and I'd like to put my internal monologue down to paper.

First of all, I'd like to discuss what people are actually using this plugin to do. In my experience, then, the largest demographic of people in the market for a plugin like this fall into two camps:
#1 - Users of GriefPrevention wanting to upgrade to something more modern. GriefPrevention is a plugin which set the gold standard for protecting land on Minecraft servers, the influence of which is very clear with the basic style and systems of this plugin. GriefPrevention is an old plugin, and lacks support for more modern use cases, such as running multiple survival instances and syncing claim blocks, or integrated/non-laggy Dynmap support. This is why I purchased the plugin and began using it on my server for several months.
#2 - New server owners or folks familiar with GriefPrevention/it's style who have stumbled across this as a superior alternative.

My issue then with GriefDefender is that most people are going into this expecting it to be a better / upgraded GriefPrevention as its name would imply, which I don't think it is - and I think when users start having to use it the issues with this become apparent and ultimately do both GriefPrevention and GriefDefender a disservice.

On paper, though, it seems like that's what this is - GriefPrevention with immensely more customisation, options, better performance - etc. But the thing is, the reason GriefPrevention became such a gold standard is precisely what I find this plugin lacks: Intuitiveness. In other words, ease-of-use.

GriefPrevention is immediately easy to understand. There's one config file, you plug your details in there (mySQL if you like, too), set the hourly claim block rate - make sure that weird "raid" feature is off - and you're good to go. Less is more with GriefPrevention. There certainly were options, of course, you could fine-tune it to your liking, turn off certain features, but out of the box GriefPrevention is a complete package; a full suite of solutions.
In-game, the chat menus are barebones and simple. It prints the players added to a claim in a list, and the different trust levels. Nothing more and nothing less. Commands are easy to understand, you can /trust, /abandonclaim, etc.

For users wanting to replicate GriefPrevention - which is pretty reasonable given the name and branding - GriefDefender is not a complete out of box experience. You'll need to do some configuring.
However, it's not as easy as opening up a config file and tweaking some settings. There's three config files; your regular settings, a flag definitions and a global flag information file. On the surface, this is absolutely fantastic. GriefDefender has an advanced flag-based contextual action denial system, where you can set if every individual action by any entity or world source can be performed in any type of claim, specific claims, admin claims, etc. You get the idea, it's customisable. The issue is, it's too complex to configure for it's own good. This is the best plugin out of the box that nobody knows how to use.

In order to be able to configure this plugin to your liking, you need to either spend hours familiarizing yourself with the system and how to configure it, studying the encyclopedic plugin Wiki. Or, you ask for support on the plugin Discord and enter an eye-wateringly complicated configuration command that is spoon-fed to you. That's not me criticizing the plugin support at all, every member of support staff has been great in my experience and as I mentioned the developer is constantly chatting with folks in the discord about how to improve the plugin. This is fundamentally why I awarded five stars despite my criticisms - this developer is reputable and capable of addressing them.

But while deep config files, complex plugin Wikis and expansive in-game chat menus make a highly customisable plugin, it doesn't make it easy to use, for both players or administrators. Little things like "/abandonclaim" having a different function from "/delclaim" - or how clickable commands use an advanced callback command system rather than replicable syntax to carry out meaning stuff just doesn't work for Geyser-Bedrock users like it does on GriefPrevention. Also, don't expect this plugin to contain features like GriefPrevention's tamed animal protection or user-drop fire damage protection - though again, this isn't what the plugin is trying to be - it's not trying to provide tons of specific features and cater to the practical motions of how to protect players from having their stuff damaged by players - it's trying to cater to server staff who want to customise. But in doing so, I think it falls short of being great and intuitive for the end users to actually enjoy. The bottom line is that this is a fantastically programmed piece of software, but not very well designed - I don't think server admins should have to spend hours asking in support discords and reading wikis to learn a proprietary command format and config layout system in order to be able to be proficient enough to make small tweaks to settings.

There's one other flaw I want to add on to the end about this plugin. It makes use of LuckPerms to store some contextual data. First off, LuckPerms is a fantastic permissions plugin - that's not the issue at all. The issue is that it feels hacky having this plugin store crucial data like claim block counts in LuckPerms contexts and nodes. Open up your LuckPerms web panel after installing this plugin and observe that it adds additional -100 weight groups to your database and additional data storage permission flags with specific contexts to every player. This in and of itself isn't a problem, really. But it feels hacky and an inappropriate use of what LuckPerms was intended for - storing nodes and providing a platform for advanced contextual permissions. If you ever clear a player's LuckPerms permission data, or feel like clearing out LuckPerms and starting your permission systems all over again, it'll wipe player GriefDefender data too, including claim block balances. If you ever want to uninstall GriefDefender this stuff will stay tangled in your LuckPerms database unless you wipe all your LuckPerms data, too, which is disappointing to be honest.

How would I recommend that the author improve this plugin, then? I'd suggest the following.
#1 Overhaul the out-of-box experience. This could mean providing an advanced wizard in-game clickable chat wizard to configure the plugin. Perhaps "presets" could be provided letting you setup the plugin to emulate GriefPrevention as closely as possible. This wouldn't solve the complexity of wanting to make tweaks, but should
#2 Make it more clear that this plugin isn't just a better version of GriefPrevention. It's so much more than that. In my review, I've argued it's too much more for most users, but not everyone will agree with that. Tweak your marketing to make this more clear. Honestly, perhaps even change the plugin name.
#3 Make it possible to uninstall the plugin and expunge it easily from users' LuckPerms database.

With all that said, 5/5; "it has a little something for everyone". Maybe, just a little too much.

Review for GD2.0.1
I am happy with blood continuously update its plugin with better compatibility towards other plugin and still maintain GD with good performance and functions.

The only problem for this plugin is that the wiki is not written very well. Most of the things is written inside wiki but it will be hard for users to find specific thing, consider the wiki is built using github, it will be hard for people to search something they want.

But the official discord server can make up this part, with staff replying very fast. (But this will be not good for people who is new to this plugin, they can only check out wiki to see how things works)

Version: 2.0.0

Version: 1.5.11
Top-tier claiming plugin, which is not just a claiming plugin, its an Event Manager Plugin too. So many posibilities in your hands with this plugin. The developer is day-to-day improving it and listening to every customer, 10/10. This is the way to go.

Version: 1.5.11
Its a great plugin packed with features that I've always wanted, it works great and has a easy to understand menu and even the development builds work great, support for this plugin is the best I've seen and I got the invite to the discord straight way, there are no downsides at all defiantly worth the money I payed, the author of the plugin is also very helpful and updates this plugin regularly and quickly and I would highly recommend this plugin to people who are looking for the best.

Version: 1.5.11

Plugin does not work ignores settings that are set admin function does not work .....

I have a new discord and the invitation doesn't work ... the discord name that's written here doesn't work for info.

I'm disgusted with the support of the developer ....

Author's response
User continues to never send emails to [email protected] nor a message on spigot requesting an invite. Discord invitations are sent out to paypal emails within 24 hours of purchase and expire after 24 hours as stated on here. The email explicitly states to request another invite to [email protected] if it expires.

Version: 1.5.11
Plugin is great but im having trouble finding how to join the discord? we purchased the plugin a few months ago but are having some trouble with some pixelmon interactions
-
Author's response
Thanks for review! I'm sorry to hear you couldn't get into discord for support. Please email [email protected] with your paypal transaction id or payment email for another invite.

Version: 1.5.11
The plugin itself is great, the support not so great. Purchased the plugin almost a month ago. A link was provided for the discord, but the link expired before it could be used. Have asked kindly via email and spigot multiple times over the course of 3-4 weeks for a new linkwith no response at all.

Author's response
Your emails ended up in my Junk inbox for some reason. A new discord invite has been sent. Sorry for the trouble!

Version: 1.5.11
The best Plugin on Spigot, the first Setup is EASY! You will have no trouble, what people mention here is further configuration. This can need some attempts to understand but you will get awesome support in the DC.

This Plugin can handle everything, and the configuratio9n possibilities are endless.

Also the development is one of a kind, Bugs get fixed in minutes, and he dont hesitate to add support for other devs. He even fix plugins from other devs just to help people.... MCjesus ?

Version: 1.5.11
The best plugin for land claiming! Despite what some people say here, the plugin is not at all hard to use. It comes with an amazing guide to getting started and I have honestly not felt more confident setting up a plugin. Well done!

Version: 1.5.11
i have been using GD for half year.

if i need to use one word to comment GD, it would be "powerful"

The reason why i say it is powerful is because, many things can be configured by the users, including the language, claimflags and options, users can adjust the setting base on his need. GD staff also update version very fast, but is in the discord and it is dev server, i can test them if i want new functions.

But one thing behide this is that you need alot of time to understand how GD works, GD is a big system, if you don't take time to understand it, you may think that GD cannot do many thing, but turns out GD can do most of the things. There are some limiation still, such as netherportal detection, but most likely, GD can replace worldguard or worldguard extra flags.

After you purchased GD, you can join their discord, inside the discord, i can get all the support i needed, i don't need to go to github and report bug or find other things, stay in GD discord, the staff will reply me so fast.

Version: 1.5.10
Great Plugin! It's ultra customizable and perfomant even for larger scale servers. The data management with LuckPerms is just amazing.

Version: 1.5.10
this plugin is extremely complicated, it open many options for user to use, if you are smart, you can set up almost whatever you want, but if you don't have such intelligent, you may have a hard time to use this plugin in deep.

it sure can replace griefprevention , with it's claimflag setting, is great for players to use.

but for admins, it would be confusing, it take alot of time to understand how the entire plugin works, i think i am having lack of brain cells to understanding everything (but one thing is good, the wiki have explanation towards these setting so you can try), you may try the setting by yourself, but it may take a long time.

Version: 1.5.10
We are not happy with this developer his plugin for example "GriefDefender" does not work function ignore admin claim does not work for 7 days I was worried and did not solve for me the worst purchase of the plugin
-
Author's response
All users are emailed a link to discord via paypal email on purchase date. User never joined discord or sent message on Spigot for help. The problem is clearly a permission issue caused by the user not the plugin.

Version: 1.5.10
I think it's the best protection plugin I've used in all my years as a survival server configurator.
Attentive creator, with excellent support, a very well explained wiki and it is also open source!
I don't know what more I can ask for.

Version: 1.5.9
buy buy buy, perfect plugin, exactly what i needed and for a very fair price. Thank you!

Version: 1.5.8
This is a very good plugin to replace griefprevention, this have more functions, dynmap build in support, clear and fast reply from staff.

This plugin and it's team is serious.

Version: 1.5.5
This is a high-quality, well-written plugin that does what it says on the tin and then some. It's essentially GriefPrevention on crack cocaine; in terms of feature set, plugin performance and combustibility. Any small setting can be tweaked on a per-claim, user, group basis making it extremely powerful and scalable for different use cases; you'll have no need for separate WorldGuard and GriefPrevention plugins with this.

The downside to this power and combustibility is that it's very complicated to configure. You won't be able to open the config file and figure it out immediately. This is a bit annoying for making quick tweaks on a large scale; for instance in trying to disable explosion block damage above water level and in claims across the server isn't as easy as a config toggle as it may be with GriefPrevention.
Thankfully, the support team in my experience have been excellent in assisting with any problems, going the extra mile to explain not just how to perform tasks but also what the commands do. The plugin is also well-documented.

Long story short; if you're fine with putting in the time to master the ins and outs of how the plugin works and all the permission-control command syntax, you'll be rewarded with being able to fine tune every feature to your desire. Overall, thanks to the friendly and speedy support and good documentation, this ends up a win for GriefDefender.

The other notable thing is the LuckPerms requirement. GriefDefender is deeply integrated with LuckPerms and requires it to work. Thankfully, this isn't a problem at all; LuckPerms is the gold standard in terms of permission plugins. With that said, if you are deploying an alternate permission system, then this plugin won't work unless you're fine with migrating to LuckPerms.

At the end of the day, for most users I think the use case will be to replace GriefPrevention; at least that is why I switched to GriefDefender. One particular gripe I had with GP was integrating it with my server's Dynmap. It required an outdated and laggy plugin to make the integration work. It was a relief to have GriefDefender work with Dynmap out of the box and all the while perform much better.

To summarise, this is an excellent plugin backed by experienced developers and supported by a friendly staff team who will help you understand it. If you're looking to have a claims plugin for peace of mind with just a few friends, this isn't really the plugin for you; it's a bit too much of a hassle to setup a permissions system and then the plugin for what it's worth. However, for public servers, both big and small it's definitely worthy of your time to figure it all out. You'll be rewarded with a versatile and high quality land management system.

Author's response
Thank you for review! It's very much appreciated.

To answer your issue regarding explosions above surface. GriefDefender gives you more control over GP but I never had a chance to document it properly. I have just updated the wiki which shows you exactly how it can be controlled.
See https://github.com/bloodmc/GriefDefender/wiki/Claim-Management/_edit#how-to-handle-explosions-above-surface-level

Thanks again for using GriefDefender!

This is a great app for allowing people to claim their own property on my server without having to get staff involved too much. Very nice control and GUI. I will preach this plugin to others always!

Version: 1.5.2
Plugin itself is amazing either for easy and complicated claim management. Creator itself cannot stop working on it and it makes me scared.

Version: 1.5.0
Really great plugin! I checked out most alternatives, but nothing comes close to the amout of customisations this plugin offers. And its sexy at the same time! Easy to use for my players.
For me it was a bit ticky to unserstand how the cofiguration works (nearly everything is stored as a permission in the end) as this was a bit different from other plugins. But after some wiki reading and try/error combiend with very helpful discord mods I got everything running. I really like the permission based setup with LP contexts!

Version: 1.5.0
Bought the plugin, but never received a link to the support discord. I've had some trouble getting a few of the features working.

All discord invites are sent to the paypal email used to purchase as stated on the main page. If you need another invite, send an email to [email protected]

Version: 1.5.0
the plugin does not have compatibility with various store plugins, in its griefdefender rentals theme, i would not recommend buying if you want to use stores within the griefdefender protection. if the author is encouraged to make compatibility with several store plugins, my rating would change, meanwhile it is unusable

The rental feature is brand new and nowhere does it state support for other store plugins. Upcoming builds will have more rental features.

Version: 1.5.0
The best plugin for private territories. Very flexible and convenient mod support

Version: 1.5.0
I had an issue with GP not acting correctly with CoreProtect causing my server to be killed when i tried to use a core CP command so i needed a fix where i went to the Discord to find out that GP is no longer supported and they recommended GD to me and i fell in love within minutes and had to buy it.

Version: 1.4.7
What can I say. As always an awesome plugin. Frequent updates always willing to work out a problem!

Version: 1.4.7
i really like the perms and manage the user but i want to create a limit size of the basic claim for each rank i have, is it possible?

Version: 1.4.6
Love it! Its just doing its job without any problems, easy to use and very practical. Now after some hours im done with config it to my server needs and know how its working .. i wish every plugin would be like this.
Support on discord is very helpful and fast. Thank you :)

Version: 1.4.6
I have been using GriefDefender for a while now and a lot of stuff has happend.
There have been countless improvements, additions, suggestions from my side, everything is handled professionally and implemented in the blink of an eye.
Support for 1.16.x got added the day it released, bugs get fixed incredible fast, there are dev-builds to check and test with the newest bleeding-edge additions for supporters, bloodshot even implemented a fully fledged rent-system for GD.
Warning: This is an extremly customizable and powerful plugin, and plugins like that will take time to understand and tweak exactly to your specific needs. Its unmatched in terms of performance and customizability and THE ABSOLUTE BEST of any protection plugin.
Thanks blood <3

Version: 1.4.6
The BEST Anti-Grief plugin for an SMP server. Better than any other similar plugin I've used. If you care about quality, don't use GriefPrevention, buy GriefDefender!

Version: 1.4.6
As simple as this: There's no protection/antigrief/flags plugin in the entire Spigot world that comes close to what GriefDefender can achieve.

With this, you're basically replacing aproximately 5 plugins and boosting performance in a gigantic noticeable way.

Discord support is exquisite, professional and incredibly helpful. Absolutely recommended plugin and the fee asked for it is way too short for what it's worth.

Version: 1.4.5
Fantastic alternative to GriefPrevention. Seamless migration, more features, easy to use!

Version: 1.2.6
Easily the best land protection plugin out there. I transferred from GriefPrevention with the migrator and never looked back.

GriefDefender's power lies in the incredible level of customization it allows. Once you understand the flags and options, you can manage virtually any event by basis of claim, player, world, group, and more. The cliche "the possibilities are endless" is actually true.

The project is open source, but I strongly recommend buying it through Spigot to support the developer. His support is fantastic, and $15 is a bargain given all the plugin's features.

Version: 1.2.2
Very great plugin, especially for my Spigot+Forge 1.12.2 server since regular GP does not work. Some settings seem quite confusing at first, but the plugin overall is great! Support is also amazing and fast.

Version: 1.2.2
A bit tricky to learn to use, but its a extremely flexible plugin for preventing griefers. The claim mode is a huge bonus for those of us who don't like having tools being locked to a specific plugin.

bloodshot is responsive and a great developer.

Version: 1.2.1
Next-level anti-grief and security plugin. powerful, highly customizable and fast. Worth every dollar.
Bloodshot is an awesome developer, always active in discord, listens to requests and feedback from his community.
Changes get implemented really frickin' fast, errors are fixed almost instantly.
I hope this project will continue for a long time.

Version: 1.2.1
Most patient dev of the year award goes to bloodshot. I have asked so many questions and he always explains things until I understand. Multiple features have been added that I have requested (usually the same day of request). Gets better every single day. Truly bright future.

Version: 1.1.0
I'm rating five stars because bloodmc is very responsive with discord support and implements fixes into dev builds very quickly.

It is a great alternative to GP, but it requires some setup to get things working exactly as you want them to. (Which is a great thing because it gives you the choice for how you want things!)

Version: 1.1.0
The successor of GP ! It was exaclty i need for my paper server, and added some feature i've asked, so, yea, i recommand this plugin.

Version: 1.1.0
Grief protection plugins are paramount for the majority of servers. Many different options exist nowadays, but nothing comes close to GriefDefender. It is very apparent the amount of time and care that went into designing and creating this plugin. It is so well thought out and designed that I was blown away. It's like someone took the stability and reliability of GriefPrevention and added all the little features and conveniences it was missing.

Combine this with the support you can expect to receive from bloodmc and his team and this is a home-run the Minecraft server hosting community has been in desperate need of for months.

Thank you friend. Exciting future ahead. :)

No problem! I look forward to providing you the best possible protection I can. :)

Version: 1.1.0
Bloodmc is a great developer. He spends countless hours pushing code and listening to feedback live in Discord from code changes from server owners. That's tedious work and good work. This is a great plugin, it's a overall improvement over GriefPrevention.

Buy it.

Thanks for being a loyal user!

Version: 1.0.1
An amazing plugin that will ensure your hard work will not be destroyed. It's a big improvement over its GriefPrevention Bukkit including many new features such as /cfd, that will allow you to test the protection as if you were not trusted, /gd create schematic (name) that will create a schematic of that claim and is restorable to the time you took the schematic, and even the ability to set a claim spawn by clicking TP when you do /claimlist. Overall, it's worth the purchase and I would recommend it to any server owner in need of a plugin to prevent griefers and I strongly recommend anyone on GriefPrevention Bukkit to migrate over to GriefDefender!
